Traffic Pattern Parameters in a Handover Procedure of a Wireless Network
A first base station receives from a second base station, a handover request message comprising traffic pattern parameters of a wireless device. The traffic pattern parameters comprise a first traffic periodicity, a first timing offset, and a first message size. A handover request acknowledge message indicating at least one periodic resource configuration parameter determined based on the first traffic periodicity is sent to the second base station. A random access preamble associated with a handover of the wireless device is received from the wireless device. The first base station determines a resource block assignment based on the first message size. A control command is transmitted to the wireless device. The control command indicates: activation of radio resources associated with the at least one periodic resource configuration parameter; and the resource block assignment.
Devices, methods and computer program products for an improved handover in inter-site carrier aggregation scenarios
A device communicates with a terminal in association with at least a first other device, using at least two carriers, wherein at least a first carrier towards the terminal is established from the device and at least a second carrier is established towards the terminal from the first other device. The device receives a report indicative of a connection quality of the first carrier, responsive thereto issues a request for handover of the first carrier towards a second device, sends relocation information in relation to the first carrier towards the first other device, and only after sending that relocation information, commands the terminal to perform a handover of the first carrier to the second device. Such device, in cooperation with other devices, accomplishes an optimized handover in terms of a primary component carrier relocation from a serving eNB towards a target eNB, while a secondary component carrier is maintained.
Wireless communication system, method of routing data in a wireless communication system, and method of handing over a wireless communication device, having an established data connection to a local network
A wireless communication system (100) comprises a plurality of access points (102) for communicating with a plurality of wireless communication devices (104) within an enterprise (106). A local gateway (108) provides access to a local network (110) within the enterprise and an access point gateway (114) is coupled to the local gateway (108) and is communicably coupled to each of the plurality of access points (102) and to a core network (116) of the wireless communication system. The access point gateway (114) is arranged to receive control messages sent between the core network (116) and the plurality of access points (102) via the access point gateway (114) and to selectively route data via at least one of a communication path (118) between the access points (102) and the core network (116) and a communication path (120) between an access point (102) and the local network (110) via the local gateway (108) based on a received control message. A method of routing data and a method of handing over a wireless communication device, having an established data connection to a local network, is also claimed and disclosed.
HANDOFF PROCEDURE IN A MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The invention relates to an improved handover procedure for a mobile terminal. Under control of the target base station, the mobile terminal is to perform a handoff to a target base station, wherein it is to be configured for communication with the target base station via a target radio cell comprising a downlink carrier and an uplink carrier. The mobile terminal receives a handoff command message for the handoff to the target base station including a handoff execution condition as trigger for executing handoff to the target base station. Then, the mobile terminal determines, based on the received handoff execution condition, whether or not the mobile terminal is to trigger execution of the handoff to the target base station. In case the mobile terminal determines that it is to trigger execution of the handoff to the target base station, the mobile terminal executes the handoff to the target base station.
COMMUNICATIONS DEVICE, INFRASTRUCTURE EQUIPMENT, WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK AND METHODS
A method is performed in a first infrastructure equipment for a handover of a wireless device from the first infrastructure equipment as a source to a second infrastructure equipment as a target. The method comprises maintaining a mapping between a plurality of packet bearers and a data radio bearer for the wireless device, each of the plurality of packet bearers being configured to provide a specified quality of service, determining that the wireless device should handover from the first infrastructure equipment to the second infrastructure equipment, determining that the second infrastructure equipment does not support the mapping of the plurality of packet bearers to the data radio bearer, and providing an indication of a mapping of the plurality of packet bearers for the second infrastructure equipment after handover to one of a core network equipment and the second infrastructure equipment.
Method for Moving Between Communications Systems and Apparatus
A method for moving between communications systems and an apparatus, where the method includes: receiving, by a user equipment (UE), a first message, where the first message is used to set up or modify a first evolved packet system (EPS) bearer for the UE in the first communications system, and the first message includes first quality of service (QoS) flow information that is of the second communications system and corresponds to the first EPS bearer; storing, by the UE, the first QoS flow information; moving, by the UE, from the first communications system to the second communications system; and determining, by the UE based on a first condition, QoS flow information used by the UE in the second communications system, where the first condition includes the first QoS flow information.
Communication Method and Related Device
A communication method and a related device, the method including receiving a radio access capability of a terminal device, detecting whether a target radio access capability the same as the received radio access capability of the terminal device exists in a terminal device access capability set, where the terminal device access capability set is a set of radio access capability information corresponding to radio access capabilities, and, when the target radio access capability exists in the terminal device access capability set, indexing second access capability indication information in a context of the terminal device to radio access capability information corresponding to the target radio access capability.
Handover Method, Terminal Device, And Network Device
The present disclosure relates to handover methods. In one example method, a first network node determines that a terminal device needs handover. The handover is from a second network node to a third network node. The first network node sends a user equipment context setup request message to the third network node. The user equipment context setup request message is used to instruct the third network node to establish a radio link for the terminal device. The first network node sends a handover command to the terminal device. The handover command is used to instruct the terminal device to perform the handover.
Vehicle Control System for Providing User-Customized Functions Based on Gesture Recognition
Methods and systems are presented for accepting inputs into a vehicle or other conveyance to control functions of the conveyance. A vehicle control system can receive gestures and other inputs. The vehicle control system can also obtain information about the user of the vehicle control system and information about the environment in which the conveyance is operating. Based on the input and the other information, the vehicle control system can modify or improve the performance or execution of user interface and functions of the conveyance. The changes make the user interfaces and/or functions user-friendly and intuitive.
Handover signaling in wireless networks
A base station and a wireless device may communicate with one another regarding carrier types that may differ based on the presence or absence of certain reference signals. The communication may be, for example, related to a handover decision.
