Methods and devices for performing circuit-switched fallback
A communication circuit arrangement may include a control circuit configured to receive an initial call notification attempt in idle mode from a first network for an incoming call that originates from a second network, establish an active connection with the first network, trigger a subsequent call notification attempt from the incoming call from the first network by disregarding the initial call notification attempt, and presenting a user with caller identity information for the incoming call provided in the subsequent call notification attempt.
Handover Signaling in Wireless Networks
A base station and a wireless device may communicate with one another regarding carrier types that may differ based on the presence or absence of certain reference signals. The communication may be, for example, related to a handover decision.
Handover during carrier aggregation operation in wireless communication network
Methods for performing handovers and addition of carriers during carrier aggregation operation are described. A mobile station can indicate failure to perform downlink synchronization to some but not all cells of a target eNB, in response to a handover command. The mobile station can activate carriers based on various combinations of transmission of random access preambles, reception of random access response messages and transmission of handover complete messages. A base station can activate carriers based on various combinations of reception of random access preambles, transmission of random access response messages and reception of handover complete messages.
Information Processing Method and Communication Node
An information processing method, applied to a first Device-to-Device (D2D) User Equipment (UE), is provided. In the method, auxiliary information is received from a first access node of the first D2D UE; and a second access node is accessed according to the auxiliary information, where the first access node and the second access node are access nodes of different types.
Method and apparatus for processing state information in communication system
A method of processing state information in a radio access network (100). The radio access network (100) includes a first radio access node (103, 104) that is associated with a cell (105, 106) and user equipment (102). The method comprises maintaining state information at the user equipment (102), the state information comprising at least one state information part associable with different values. The method further comprises transmitting a current value associated with at least one state information part from the user equipment (102) to the first radio access node (103, 104) in response to detecting at least one predetermined trigger indicating that the first radio access node (103, 104) may not hold the current value. The method further comprises relying on the first radio access node (103, 104) holding the current value associated with the at least one state information part if no predetermined trigger is detected.
METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR ENABLING SECURE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN MOBILE DEVICES AND A NETWORK
Example methods, apparatuses and systems are disclosed for establishing a secure communication channel between a network establishment service and a monitoring node. An example method includes retrieving, by a processor of a network establishment service, a monitoring node identifier (MID) corresponding to a monitoring node associated with a particular monitoring platform, wherein the MID comprises a private token unique to the monitoring node. The example method further includes identifying, by node configuration circuitry of the network establishment service and based on information regarding the monitoring node, a preferred gateway node for communicating with the monitoring node. The example method further includes logically pairing, by the node configuration circuitry of the network establishment service, the monitoring node with the preferred gateway node, and transmitting, by communications circuitry of the network establishment service, the association information to the preferred gateway node. Corresponding apparatuses, systems, and computer program products are also provided.
SYSTEM INFORMATION PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENTS
Wireless communications systems and methods related to system information communications and decoding are provided. In one embodiment, a wireless communication device receives one or more known bits. The wireless communication device receives a first encoded information block. The wireless communication device decodes the first encoded information block to generate a first information block based on the one or more known bits. In one embodiment, a wireless communication device receives a first encoded information block including a first bit pattern. The wireless communication device receives a second encoded information block including a second bit pattern. The wireless communication device jointly decodes the first encoded information block and the second encoded information block based on an assumption that a difference between the first bit pattern and the second bit pattern is within a subset of a plurality of bit-change patterns.
COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, COMMUNICATION APPARATUS CONTROL METHOD, AND PROGRAM
A communication apparatus, in a case where a partner apparatus is not in the communicable state in a second mode of a first wireless communication method, specifies a predetermined memory area of the partner apparatus and transmits, to the partner apparatus using a first mode of the first wireless communication method, a communication parameter used for communication between the communication apparatus and the partner apparatus in a second wireless communication method.
METHOD, SYSTEM, AND DEVICE FOR USER DETACHMENT WHEN A HANDOVER OR CHANGE OCCURS IN HETEROGENEOUS NETWORK
A method for user detachment when a handover or change occurs in a heterogeneous network is provided. The method includes: a user equipment (UE) is handed over or switched from a source network to a target network; a network element on a network side determines whether to detach the UE from the source network, and if yes, the network element on the network side detaches the UE from the source network. A system and a device for user detachment when a handover or change occurs in a heterogeneous network, and another method for user detachment when a handover or change occurs in a heterogeneous network are also provided.
Interleaving based on a Network Handover
Techniques for interleaving based on a network handover are described. In at least some embodiments, when a handover of a communication session occurs between networks, an interleaving mode used for interleaving data of the communication session is switched. For instance, implementations discussed herein enable dynamic adjustment of interleaving and encoding for data to be transmitted as part of a communication session.
