A communication method and a related device, the method including receiving a radio access capability of a terminal device, detecting whether a target radio access capability the same as the received radio access capability of the terminal device exists in a terminal device access capability set, where the terminal device access capability set is a set of radio access capability information corresponding to radio access capabilities, and, when the target radio access capability exists in the terminal device access capability set, indexing second access capability indication information in a context of the terminal device to radio access capability information corresponding to the target radio access capability.

MOBILITY MANAGEMENT METHOD, APPARATUS, AND SYSTEM
20170339551 · 2017-11-23 ·

Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a mobility management method, apparatus, and system. An HA-C sends a first BA message to an MN, where the first BA message includes an address of a first HA-U; and the HA-C sends a configuration message to the first HA-U, where the configuration message includes an HoA and a CoA that are of the MN, so that the first HA-U performs tunnel communication with the MN according to the configuration message. In this way, an original proxy server or an original gateway completes only tunnel communication with the MN, and a newly-added proxy server completes control signaling interaction with a BU, thereby reducing load of the original proxy server or the original gateway, and resolving a prior-art problem that load of a proxy server or a gateway is relatively heavy.

Base station signaling in a wireless network

A first base station may communicate with a second base station regarding a wireless device and handover. The communication may involve indicating carriers associated with the wireless device. The carriers may be of different types, and may have differences regarding reference signals. The first base station may cause a handover of the wireless device from the first base station to the second base station.

The present disclosure relates to handover methods. In one example method, a first network node determines that a terminal device needs handover. The handover is from a second network node to a third network node. The first network node sends a user equipment context setup request message to the third network node. The user equipment context setup request message is used to instruct the third network node to establish a radio link for the terminal device. The first network node sends a handover command to the terminal device. The handover command is used to instruct the terminal device to perform the handover.

Reducing a data transmission delay of a terminal device in a handover process

Disclosed are a handover method and a terminal device. The method includes that a first access network device triggers at least one of a terminal device or a second access network device to configure a second protocol stack; and before the first access network device triggers the at least one of the terminal device or the second access network device to maintain the sequence of the data packets of the terminal device by use of the second protocol stack, the first access network device sequentially processes data packets to be processed of the terminal device by use of a first protocol stack.

Apparatus and mechanism to improve mobility robustness in wireless network

Apparatus and methods are provided for handover robustness. In novel aspect, the UE receives a conditional handover (CHO) command from a source gNB containing a set of candidate cells with corresponding triggering conditions; detects a handover conditions for a target gNB belonging to the set of candidate cells; and performs HO procedure towards the target gNB. In one embodiment, the conditional HO command further configures a validity timer that controls a validity of handover conditions for the set of candidate cells. The validity timer is started upon receiving the conditional HO command, the validity timer is stopped upon detecting at least one events comprising a handover condition is met and a normal handover command is received, and the conditional HO command is set to be invalid upon the expiration of the validity timer.

Wireless Device, a Radio Node, and Methods Therein

A wireless device and a method therein for assisting in precoder selection for wireless communication with a Radio Node (RN), and a RN for performing precoder selection for wireless communication with a wireless device. The wireless device is configured with a set of precoders. The wireless device determines a subset of precoders out of the set of precoders; and transmits, to the RN, at least one Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) precoded with a respective at least one precoder comprised in the subset. The RN receives, from the wireless device, at least one SRS precoded with a respective at least one precoder comprised in a subset of precoders; and transmits, to the wireless device, a signal indicative of a selected precoder to be used for a transmission to the RN, wherein the selected precoder is indirectly selected based on the received at least one SRS.

NEAR FIELD COMMUNICATION (NFC) TO BLUETOOTH HANDOVER

In one aspect, a method of wireless communication by a first wireless device includes detecting a near field communication (NFC) read of the first wireless device. The NFC read may be a read initiated by a second wireless device via an NFC interaction between the first wireless device and the second wireless device. The method also includes adjusting at least one Bluetooth paging scan parameter of the first wireless device in response to detecting the NFC read.

HANDOVER SCHEMES FOR MILLIMETER WAVE (MMW) WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may initiate handover from one base station to another. The handover procedure may not include random access channel (RACH) transmissions, and thus may be a localized RACH-less handover. The UE may initiate handover to a new base station based on the relative location of the UE and the new base station, some predetermined time, or based on the characteristics of the signals from each base station.

Method of performing random access procedure in wireless communication system

A method includes transmitting a random access preamble, receiving a random access response as a response of the random access preamble, wherein the random access response comprises an uplink resource assignment and a request for transmission of a Channel Quality Indicator (CQI), and transmitting the CQI in the uplink resource assignment.
