Communication system, relay station, and mobile station that perform relay communication and direct communication
11510125 · 2022-11-22 · ·

When a second mobile station detects quality deterioration of a signal received from a first mobile station at a second frequency, the second mobile station transmits a quality deterioration notification to a relay station at a first frequency. Upon receiving the quality deterioration notification, the relay station transmits a response at the second frequency to the second mobile station that has transmitted the quality deterioration notification, receives a signal from the first mobile station, and transmits the received signal to the second mobile station at the first frequency. Upon receiving the response from the relay station, the mobile station changes the communication mode so as to receive a signal that is from the first mobile station from the relay station.

FACILITATION OF AUTHENTICATION MANAGEMENT FOR AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES
20230057641 · 2023-02-23 ·

Secure communication for autonomous vehicles can be increased by performing authentication operations before nodes, such as vehicles, roadside equipment (RSE), or base stations, are within communications range. A digital certificate management system for mobile nodes, including for moving vehicles, can facilitate ultra fast communications between vehicles and other nodes. The RSE can propagate vehicle node data, comprising direction, speed, or estimated time of arrival, to other vehicles and/or other RSEs. Consequently, this propagation of data prior to the communication between nodes can facilitate an efficient authentication system.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SIGNALING TRANSMISSION FOR SIDELINK RELAY COMMUNICATIONS
20220369186 · 2022-11-17 · ·

Systems and methods for performing signaling transmission or exchange for wireless sidelink relay communications are described. In one embodiment, a method performed by a first network node is disclosed. The method comprises: obtaining, from a wireless communication device, a first indication information indicating that the wireless communication device supports a sidelink relay communication involving the wireless communication device; transmitting, to a second network node, a second indication information generated based on the first indication information; and obtaining, from the second network node, a third indication information indicating whether the wireless communication device is authorized to perform the sidelink relay communication.

DEPLOYING IDLE TRANSCEIVERS FOR RAPID CONNECTION OF WI-FI CLIENTS
20220369185 · 2022-11-17 ·

Responsive to receiving a probe request at an idle transceiver over a first channel from a Wi-Fi client and a determination that the Wi-Fi client is not currently associated with the access point for service, a second channel being used for client service is identified. A probe response frame is generated including a CSA (channel switch announcement) indicating the second channel and transmitted to the Wi-Fi client causing authentication over the second channel. The Wi-Fi client is then serviced over the at least one non-idle transceiver over the second channel.

Sidelink Configuration

A wireless device (10) is configured to receive a control message (28) from a source radio network node (14S) of a handover. The control message (28) indicates a sidelink configuration (26) that is usable during and/or after the handover. Alternatively or additionally, the control message (28) indicates a sidelink configuration (26) that is supported by a target radio network node (14T) of the handover. The sidelink configuration (26) is a configuration of a sidelink (16) for the wireless device (10).

SIDELINK CHANNEL SELECTION COORDINATION
20220361014 · 2022-11-10 ·

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for sidelink (SL) channel selection coordination. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes measuring, during a time period shorter than one slot, a channel condition of at least one first channel in a sidelink (SL) frequency band. The method further includes transmitting a signal on the at least one first channel or a second channel of the SL frequency band, wherein the at least one first channel or the second channel is chosen based on the channel condition.

Relay Selection and Reselection

Mechanism of relay UE discovery and relay UE selection and reselection for remote UE data transmission with a serving base station via relay UE is proposed. A method operable for relay UE selection and reselection of remote UE is provided. The UE considers additional criteria such as relay load other than purely radio signal quality (e.g., RSRP) criteria. The relay load can serve different purpose for relay UE and remote UE. The relay load can be the criteria for UE to become a relay UE or not. It can be the criteria for a remote UE to select another UE as its relay UE.

Facilitation of authentication management for autonomous vehicles

Secure communication for autonomous vehicles can be increased by performing authentication steps before the nodes (e.g., vehicles, roadside equipment (RSE), base stations, etc.) are within communications range. For example, a digital certificate management system for mobile nodes, specifically for moving vehicles, can facilitate ultra fast communications between vehicles and other nodes. In some embodiments, the RSE can propagate vehicle node data (e.g., direction, speed, estimated time of arrival, etc.) to other vehicles and/or other RSEs. Consequently, this propagation of data prior to the communication between nodes can facilitate a for efficient authentication system.

ACTIVATING A SIDELINK DEVICE

An apparatus, method, computer program product and system for: receiving information relating to available connections in a wireless network, the wireless network comprising at least one access node and at least one sidelink device, collecting information relating to a mobility pattern of at least one moveable device within a predetermined area covered by the wireless network, establishing a first data connection to the wireless network for the moveable device, predicting, based on the mobility pattern of the moveable device and the information relating to the wireless network, a second data connection to be established to the wireless network for the moveable device, and sending, in response to determining that at least one criterion related to the first data connection is fulfilled, a request to the at least one access node to activate the at least one sidelink device for providing the second data connection.
