INTER-AMF CONNECTED MODE HANDOVER OPTIMIZATION
20230143182 · 2023-05-11 ·

A target Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF) switches the path for network traffic to a User Equipment (UE) in an inter-AMF mobility event. The target AMF obtains a path switch request from a target next generation Node B (gNB). The path switch request includes a UE identifier and a source AMF identifier. The target AMF compares the source AMF identifier with a target AMF identifier, and responsive to a determination that the source AMF identifier is different than the target AMF identifier, the target AMF provides a UE context transfer request to the source AMF. The target AMF obtains the UE context from the source AMF and processes the path switch request to update a core network path for a session of the UE. The target AMF also provides a path switch response to the target gNB.

Method for controlling service in radio communication system

In a user equipment of a wireless communication system, a method for signal transmission and reception may include: sending a request for a Circuit Switched voice network (CS) service to a Gateway Mobile Switching Center (GMSC) to send and receive data to and from a second user equipment; and receiving a call reject response corresponding to the service request from the GMSC, wherein the call reject response is sent by an entity in a core network of the second user equipment. According to an embodiment, it is possible to provide a suitable service to a sender terminal making a CS service request to a receiver terminal having subscribed only to a PS service without increasing network load.

One disclosure of the present specification provides a method for performing communication by a user equipment (UE). The method comprises the steps of: receiving, from a network, a first message indicating that connection between the UE and a first network slice used by the UE is released, wherein the first message includes time information about a time when the connection is released; and on the basis of the first message, transmitting, to an application of the UE, a second message indicating that the connection is released. The second message includes the time information, and the UE may drive the application by using the first network slice.

METHOD AND NODES FOR HANDLING A USER EQUIPMENT'S ACCESS TO A MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
20170374604 · 2017-12-28 ·

The embodiments herein relate to a method in a policy node for handling a UEs access to a mobile communications network. The policy node comprises policy information for the UEs access rights to the mobile communications network. The policy node obtains, from a subscriber database, subscription information for a subscriber associated with the UE. Based on the subscription information and the policy information, the policy node determines which geographical areas comprised in the mobile communications network the UE is allowed or denied access to. The policy node transmits, to a mobility node, access information indicating which geographical areas comprised in the mobile communications network the UE is allowed or denied access to.

USER EQUIPMENT AND CORE NETWORK SIGNALING FOR RADIO ACCESS NETWORK SLICE BASED CELL RE-SELCTION

Techniques discussed herein can facilitate network slice based cell re-selection. One example aspect is a baseband processor of a user equipment (UE), including one or more processors configured to determine support for slice based cell re-selection (SCR), generate a SCR information element (IE) that indicates capability support for cell re-selection based on network slicing, generate a registration request comprising the SCR IE in response to determining support for SCR, receive a REGISTRATION ACCEPT message comprising a slice radio resource management information (SSRMI) in response to generating the registration request; and generate a REGISTRATION COMPLETE message in response to receiving the SSRMI.

Method of relay node using reference signal and relay node using the method

A method for transmitting a control signal, performed by a wireless device. The method according to one embodiment includes allocating resource elements (REs) for a control channel; and transmitting the control signal through the Res. Each RE in the REs for the control channel is associated with one out of two antenna ports. The two antenna ports are included in a plurality of antenna ports used for transmitting demodulation reference signals (DM RS).

Methods, apparatus, and systems using enhanced dedicated core network (DCN) selection

Methods, apparatus and systems using Enhanced Dedicated Core Network (DCN) selection are disclosed. One representative method includes receiving, by the core network entity from another core network entity, information indicating that a DCN type is new or has change for a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU); and sending a message, by the core network entity to the WTRU, including a new or a changed DCN type.
