Node Configuration Update with Slice Identifier and Closed Access Group Information
A method can include receiving, by a first base station from a second base station, a next generation radio access network (NG-RAN) node configuration update message. The message can include a slice identifier of a first network slice supported by a cell of the second base station; and a second served cell information NR IE indicating that the cell of the second base station is in a second closed access group (CAG). The method can also include sending, to the second base station, an NG-RAN configuration update acknowledge message comprising a first served cell information NR IE indicating that a cell of the first base station is in a first CAG. The method can further include sending, to the second base station, a handover request message to handover a wireless device to the cell of the second base station.
Communication method and communications apparatus
A communication method includes sending, by a source mobility management network element in a first area, a first slice set for a home public land mobile network (PLMN) (HPLMN) of a terminal device to a target mobility management network element in a second area when handing over the terminal device from a source access network device in the first area to a target access network device in the second area, where the first slice set corresponds to a second slice set for the first area, and obtaining, by the target mobility management network element, a third slice set for the second area based on the first slice set.
Wireless user equipment (UE) control over wireless network slices based on slice requirements
A wireless user device uses a wireless network slice. To use the slice, the wireless user device exchanges source signaling with a source Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF). During the exchange of the source signaling, the wireless user device exchanges target signaling with target AMFs. The wireless user device determines AMF characteristics of the target AMFs based on the target signaling. The wireless user device selects one of the target AMFs based on the AMF characteristics and slice requirements of the wireless network slice. The wireless user device exchanges slice signaling with the selected one of the target AMFs, and in response, exchanges data with the wireless network slice.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING RADIO ACCESS NETWORK SLICING-RELATED INFORMATION
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for transmitting RAN (Radio Access Network) slice-related information, and discloses a user equipment including: a transceiver configured to receive individual control information provided individually for each RAN slice from a network node, and to perform a random access procedure using resources individually configured for each RAN slice based on the individual control information; and a processor for controlling reception of the individual control information, and the random access procedure. Such a user equipment provides an effect of being able to separately transmit control information including, for example, system information for each slice for RAN slicing.
SUPPORT OF END-TO-END EDGE APPLICATION SERVICE CONTINUITY
Support of end-to-end edge application service continuity is described herein. In one aspect, a service resident on a first wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) can receive, from a first application resident on the first WTRU, information for an association between the first application and a second application resident on a second WTRU. The service can send the association information to a service in the network such that the first and second applications are assigned to a first application server providing the type of service required for first and second application interactions. The service can detect the first WTRU's location is no longer in the service area of the first application server, and can send a request to the service in the network such that the first application and second applications are assigned to a second application server providing the type of service required for interactions between the first and second applications.
TERMINAL DEVICE, BASE STATION DEVICE, MANAGEMENT DEVICE, AND COMMUNICATION METHOD
A terminal device includes a transceiver and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to decide to use a first network slice of one or more network slices, perform a first measurement of one or more frequencies used for the first network slice, and when a result of the first measurement fulfills a threshold value, transmit a PDU session establishment request message or a service request message to a management device via an access node (AN), and is configured to acquire, from the AN, setting information prior to deciding to use the first network slice, the setting information including first information for setting the first measurement.
Enhancements to mobility settings change procedures
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described, in which a base station may determine a load balancing adjustment for traffic communicated through the base station. The load balancing adjustment may be provided at a beam level for one or more beams of a plurality of beams, at a network slice level for one or more network slice IDs of a number of network slice IDs, or combinations thereof. The base station may use the load balancing adjustment to identify one or more updated parameters for triggering a handover of at least one user equipment (UE) between beams or slice IDs of a same cell or different cells. The base station may format a mobility change request that indicates the one or more parameters that are updated, and transmit the mobility change request to another base station to establish parameters for handovers between the base stations.
Anchor base station, slave cell and user equipment
A mobile telecommunications system anchor base station for a mobile telecommunications system has at least one anchor cell and at least one slave cell which is associated with the anchor cell. The anchor base station has circuitry which is configured to activate or deactivate the slave cell, based on a service requirement received from at least one user equipment.
ADAPTATIONS BASED ON A SERVICE CONTINUITY REQUIREMENT
Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for adaptations based on a service continuity requirement. One method (700) includes receiving (702) a service continuity requirement for an application of a user equipment. The method (700) includes determining (704) a query corresponding to a slice availability and/or a status at a target service area based on the service continuity requirement. The method (700) includes determining (706) a slice related adaptation for the application to maintain application service continuity based on the service continuity requirement and a slice parameter. The method (700) includes translating (708) the slice related adaptation to a trigger action for transmission to a network entity and/or a management entity. The method (700) includes transmitting (710) the trigger action to the network entity and/or the management entity.
