OPPORTUNISTIC BALANCING IN MULTIPLE LINKS
Systems and methods are provided for opportunistic load balancing across one or more communication links supported by one or more base stations. As part of the opportunistic load balancing process, a load balancer may measure a performance metric and an idle capacity metric for the one or more communication links. In some embodiments, the load balancer may directionally measure the performance metric and the idle capacity metric. Based on the measured metrics, the load balancer may determine a candidate base station for a network socket. The load balancer may then establish the network socket with the candidate base station. As a result, the load balancer may help alleviate network congestion.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DYNAMIC CHANNEL BONDING
A method for managing network traffic on a portable communication device including a processor, a memory, and a plurality of network interfaces configured to connect to a plurality of networks includes: processing network traffic of an application running on the processor via a first network of the plurality of networks, the first network being specified as a primary network by an operating system running on the processor; monitoring a plurality of network status information associated with the first network; detecting a problem of the first network when one or more parameters of the received network status information is outside of one or more threshold values; in response to detecting the problem in the first network, selecting a second network of the plurality of networks as the primary network; and processing the network traffic via the second network as the updated primary network.
CAPACITY MANAGEMENT METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR USE IN A WIRELESS NETWORK
Methods and apparatus for managing capacity in a Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) network. An exemplary method embodiment includes operating a Citizens Broadband Radio Service Device (CBSD) of a cell to perform the steps of: receiving a power down message; decreasing, in response to the power down message, UE inactivity timer length for one or more UEs from a first length to a second length; and continuing to transmit packets to UEs at an edge of the cell. An exemplary system embodiment includes: a CBSD of a cell that comprises: a network receiver that receives a power down message; a first processor that controls the first CBSD to decrease, in response to the power down message, UE inactivity timer length for one or more UEs from a first length to a second length; and a wireless transmitter that continues to transmit packets to UEs at an edge of the cell.
Predicting wireless access point radio failures using machine learning
In one embodiment, a network assurance system that monitors a network forms a cluster of similarly behaving wireless access points (APs). The cluster includes APs associated with different software versions. The network assurance system trains a machine learning-based failure prediction model for the cluster based on a set of features of the APs in the cluster. The network assurance system proactively triggers a client in the network to roam from a first AP to a second AP, based on the failure prediction model predicting a failure of the first AP. The network assurance system quarantines the failure prediction model when a new software version is associated with one or more of the APs.

METHOD, DEVICE AND MEDIUM FOR HANDING NETWORK CONNECTION ABNORMALITY OF TERMINAL
The present disclosure relates to a method, a device, and a medium for handing network connection abnormality of a terminal. The method can include determining that a network link of the terminal is abnormal, determining a reason why the network link is abnormal, and performing a corresponding network link repair operation based on the reason why the network link is abnormal.
ELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR REDUCING POWER CONSUMPTION AND OPERATING METHOD THEREOF
A device and a method for reducing power consumption of an electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a display device, a battery, and at least one processor configured to be operatively connected to the display device, wherein the processor may determine whether to perform a handover to a second communication network, based on whether the display device is activated and a data throughput, in a state of connection to a first communication network among a plurality of communication networks supportable by the electronic device, and perform a handover to the second communication network when it is determined to perform the handover to the second communication network.

APPARATUS AND METHOD PROVIDING EFFICIENT DRX OPERATION FOR HIGH MOBILITY USER EQUIPMENT OVER 4G/5G NETWORKS
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, detecting a transit speed of a device, resulting in a detected transit speed; responsive to the detected transit speed satisfying a first threshold, including information in a message related to a handover request between a first access point of a network and a second access point of the network, the information being indicative of an amount of time that the device has been in a Discontinuous Reception (DRX) mode; and sending, to the first access point with which the device communicates and is transitioning away from, the message including the information that is indicative of the amount of time that the device has been in the DRX mode. Other embodiments are disclosed.
COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A communication apparatus, which has a first communication function for executing communication in a first communication network and a second communication function for executing communication in a second communication network, controls, in a case where the apparatus is in connection with the first communication network, based on a characteristic of the first communication network, a connection to the second communication network in a state in which the connection with the first communication network is maintained.
