Switching Method, Network Device and Terminal Device
A handover method, a network device, and a terminal device are provided. The method includes: a first network device acquires measurement results of links, wherein the links include a link between the first network device and a first terminal device and a link between the first network device and a second terminal device; and the first network device determines at least one of a first handover scheme of the first terminal device, or a second handover scheme of the second terminal device according to the measurement results.
DEVICES, SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SELECTING COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL TRANSMISSION FREQUENCIES
A method can include, by operation of first communication circuits, determining a quality of a plurality of communication frequencies according to wireless communications of a first protocol type; recording a quality of the communication frequencies; selecting communication frequencies for use by second communication circuits based on the quality of the communication frequencies; and wirelessly transmitting and receiving data with the second communication circuits according to a second protocol different than the first protocol; wherein the first and second communication circuits are collocated on the same device. Related devices and systems are also disclosed.
Unified networking system and device for heterogeneous mobile environments
Method for unified networking for a device in heterogeneous mobile environments includes maintaining and monitoring active network interfaces, managing the location of the device, managing network access security, enabling disruption tolerance support for applications, enabling service sharing and session mobility, managing system parameters for one or more active application sessions, managing storage functionality in one or more memory devices, and maintaining a mapping for one or more flows corresponding to the one or more active application sessions, maintaining one or more policies, and performing flow control decisions based upon the policies using a policy engine. The method can also include monitoring for network events, evaluating whether to perform a handover based upon policies, and providing seamless secure handovers in a heterogeneous mobile environment. A device, non-transitory computer-readable medium, and a system for unified networking are also provided.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR FACILITATING CELLULAR HANDOVER
Provided herein are methods and devices for facilitating cellular handover in high Doppler environments. The method comprises receiving an input from one or more antennas, the input comprising a first component received over a first communication path from a serving base station and a second component received over a second communication path that is different to the first communication path. The method further comprises performing signal compensation on the first component over a communication branch, measuring one or more indications of strength, quality or frequency of the first component and communicating wirelessly with the serving base station over the communication branch; and in parallel to the communication branch, performing signal compensation on the second component over a measurement branch and measuring one or more indications of strength, quality or frequency of the second component in order to assist a decision regarding handover of communication to the second communication path.
CAPACITY MANAGEMENT METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR USE IN A CITIZENS BROADBAND RADIO SERVICE NETWORK
Methods and apparatus for managing capacity in a Citizens Broadband Radio Service (CBRS) network. An exemplary method embodiment includes operating a Citizens Broadband Radio Service Device (CBSD) of a cell to perform the steps of: receiving a power down message; decreasing, in response to the power down message, UE inactivity timer length for one or more UEs from a first length to a second length; and continuing to transmit packets to UEs at an edge of the cell. An exemplary system embodiment includes: a CBSD of a cell that comprises: a network receiver that receives a power down message; a first processor that controls the first CBSD to decrease, in response to the power down message, UE inactivity timer length for one or more UEs from a first length to a second length; and a wireless transmitter that continues to transmit packets to UEs at an edge of the cell.
User equipment (UE) indication of coverage mismatch between common search space (CSS) and user-specific search space (USS) for remaining minimum system information (RMSI) delivery
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for identifying a mismatch between a user's common search space (CSS) and user-specific search space (USS). A base station (BS) may receive an indication that a user equipment (UE) decoded at least one beamformed signal transmitted by the BS in a USS and did not decode at least one beamformed signal transmitted by the BS in a CSS. The BS may take one or more actions based, at least in part, on the indication. Similarly, a UE may decode at least one beamformed signal transmitted by a BS in a USS, transmit to the BS an indication that the UE decoded the at least one beamformed signal transmitted in the USS and did not decode at least one beamformed signal transmitted by the BS in a CSS, and take one or more actions based, at least in part, on the indication.
EXIT CONDITIONS FOR CONDITIONAL HANDOVERS AND BEAM BASED MOBILITY STATE ESTIMATION
Methods, systems, and storage media are provided for exiting conditional handovers and for estimating a user equipment mobility state. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
Method and apparatus for processing NAS signaling request in wireless communication system
The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, to a method and an apparatus for processing a NAS signaling request. A method for performing a non-access stratum (NAS) signaling process by means of a terminal in a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a step of receiving a first message that includes information indicating a network failure from a network node of a first network; a step of starting a timer relating to a network selection; and a step of selecting a second network from among network candidates excluding the first network during the operation of the timer relating to a network selection.
