The present disclosure relates to the field of wireless communications technologies, and provides a communication method. The method includes: receiving, by a control plane entity (CPE), a request message, where the request message includes identification information of user equipment (UE); determining, by the CPE, whether a suspend function of the UE corresponding to the identification information is allowed to be enabled; and if the CPE determines that the suspend function of the UE is allowed to be enabled, sending, by the CPE, a message to a radio access network node (RAN node) connected to the UE, where the message includes indication information indicating that the suspend function is allowed to be enabled.

A wireless communication system includes an on-board terminal equipment mounted on a working machine, and a control server communicably connected together via a network including a first wireless base station and a second wireless base station. The control server sets a zone of a travel route as a travel-permitted zone, for which a travel permission has been given only to the working machine. A permission requesting zone in the travel-permitted zone, in which the working machine makes a setting request to the control server for a new travel-permitted zone, is set as a no-handover zone in which switching of the connected base station from the first wireless base station to the second wireless base station is prohibited. The on-board terminal equipment switches the first wireless base station to the second wireless base in a zone other than the no-handover zone in the travel-permitted zone.

Also, embodiments include generating a graphical map that indicates the overall video traffic metric for each cell in the cellular network and sending the graphical map to a mobile device in the first cell showing first overall video traffic metric and the second overall video traffic metric relative to the first predetermined threshold. The method includes the aerial station receiving positional information of a ground station of the plurality of the ground stations, selecting antenna elements on a phased antenna array for generating a directional beam based on the positional information, sweeping the directional beam to cover the plurality of ground stations, determining that the directional beam has a beam width sufficient to cover the plurality of ground stations and a transmit power sufficient to provide signals to the ground stations based on the sweeping of the directional beam; and establishing a radio link between the aerial station and the ground station in the plurality of ground stations.
