USER EQUIPMENT (UE) INDICATION OF COVERAGE MISMATCH BETWEEN COMMON SEARCH SPACE (CSS) AND USER-SPECIFIC SEARCH SPACE (USS) FOR REMAINING MINIMUM SYSTEM INFORMATION (RMSI) DELIVERY
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for identifying a mismatch between a user's common search space (CSS) and user-specific search space (USS). A base station (BS) may receive an indication that a user equipment (UE) decoded at least one beamformed signal transmitted by the BS in a USS and did not decode at least one beamformed signal transmitted by the BS in a CSS. The BS may take one or more actions based, at least in part, on the indication. Similarly, a UE may decode at least one beamformed signal transmitted by a BS in a USS, transmit to the BS an indication that the UE decoded the at least one beamformed signal transmitted in the USS and did not decode at least one beamformed signal transmitted by the BS in a CSS, and take one or more actions based, at least in part, on the indication.
Communication control apparatus, communication control method, radio communication system and terminal apparatus
A communication control apparatus includes, a radio communication unit configured to provide a second radio communication service within a cell in which a first base station provides a first radio communication service; and a control unit configured to, when an operation mode of the radio communication unit is made to transition from a first mode to a second mode in which power is less consumed than in the first mode, switch the operation mode to the second mode after stepwisely reducing transmission power of a reference signal to be transmitted from the radio communication unit.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RECOMMENDING A CHANNEL FOR WIRELESS COMMUNICATION
A system and computer-implemented method is provided. The method includes receiving measurements obtained at a plurality of locations of a user site and associated with wireless communication quality of multiple channels at the respective locations, determining a channel-location score for each channel for each of the locations based on the measurements obtained for that location, and generating an overall channel score for each channel based on the channel-location scores determined for the channel at each of the locations.
Communication apparatus, method for controlling communication apparatus, and storage medium
A communication apparatus transmits service information indicating a first service to be executed via an external apparatus and containing address information for communicating with the external apparatus, with the service information contained in information for handing over connection to a communication method different from a first communication method, to another communication apparatus by the first communication method, and executes the first service based on communication performed by a second communication method different from the first communication method and executes communication between the communication apparatus and the external apparatus.
Offloadability of PDN connection for LTE-WLAN interworking control and management
Methods for LTE-WLAN interworking control and management are proposed. In one novel aspect, a terminal equipment (TE) can use an AT command to query the WLAN offloadability of a packet data network (PDN) connection. A mobile termination (MT) can store the WLAN offloadability indication in its memory and return the value to TE upon receiving the AT command. In one example, a new field <WLAN_Offload> can be added to an existing AT command.
ASSISTED HANDOVER TO VOLTE IN CASE OF VOWIFI FAILURE
A VoWiFi service monitor monitors the logical data path to the ePDG of a MNO as an indication of whether VoWiFi service is possible for subscribers of the MNO network. Due to the standard configuration of UEs in preferring WLAN connectivity over LTE cellular connectivity, if the VoWiFi service is unavailable the UEs will not automatically switch to VoLTE while a WLAN connection is available between the UE and a hub. When a change in the status of an ePDG is detected, the VoWiFi service monitor informs any connected hubs. The hubs receive notifications from the VoWiFi service monitor and for each notification determine whether the ePDG status change affects one or more of the VoWiFi capable UEs connected to the hub. If at least one such device is affected by the change, the hub notifies the affected UE with instructions to handover from VoWiFi to VoLTE.

HANDOVER METHOD AND CONTROL TRANSFER METHOD
A handover method and a control transfer method are provided. A handover method of performing an inter-cell handover between a first ground station and a second ground station may include setting a first channel to the second ground station, measuring, by an airborne radio station, a second channel and reporting a measurement result to the first ground station, sending, by the first ground station, a handover request to at least one of a ground control station (GCS) or a control and non-payload communication (CNPC) network, determining, by the at least one of the GCS or the CNPC network, whether to perform a handover, and transmitting, by the at least one of the GCS or the CNPC network, a handover instruction to the airborne radio station based on a result of the determining.

Donor access node selection for relays
A relay wireless device is subject to a handoff procedure based on a signal strength and other features of a plurality of neighbor access nodes that are within range of the relay wireless device, and based on their ability to provide services to end-user wireless devices via the relay wireless device. A first access node obtains a plurality of features of the neighbor access nodes to enable determination of an optimal donor access node to provide services to the end-user devices via the relay wireless device. The first access node may obtain the features directly from each neighbor access node or by communicating with an EMS server. The features of the neighbor access nodes include loading information for each node. The loading information may be matched to the requirements of the relay wireless device.
