METHOD FOR OPERATING A CENTRALIZED RADIO ACCESS NETWORK
A method for operating a centralized radio access network (C-RAN) having a plurality of base stations, wherein at least a portion of base station processing is performed at a centralized processing entity, and wherein a virtualized environment is provided by the centralized processing entity such that the plurality of base stations run in virtual machines, includes relocating base station processing from a first virtual machine that performs base station processing for a first base station that serves an initial cell to a second virtual machine by: introducing a target cell for which the second virtual machine performs base station processing, simultaneously transmitting, via at least a portion of antennas of the first base station, signals for both the initial cell and the target cell, and handing over user terminals that are assigned to the initial cell to the target cell.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE, NON-GEOSTATIONARY SATELLITE, GROUND STATION, AND COMMUNICATION METHOD
A communication device is a communication device that communicates with at least one of a plurality of ground stations via a non-geostationary satellite, and includes: an acquisition unit that acquires predetermined information necessary for switching a connection destination ground station in advance before switching processing; and a communication control unit that switches the connection destination ground station based on the predetermined information.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR UTILIZING A DYNAMIC CONFIGURATION IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method and apparatus for utilizing a dynamic configuration in a wireless communication system is provided. A wireless device receives, from a network, a single configuration set including a first configuration associated with a first time information and a second configuration associated with a second time information. A wireless device applies the first configuration based on the first time information. A wireless device applies the second configuration and discarding the first configuration based on the second time information. The single configuration set is different from another single configuration set provided for another wireless device in the cell.

CELLULAR HANDOVER
In a cellular communications network, user equipment connected to a base station, the active mode handover behavior of the base station for selecting handover targets is set to be different from idle mode reselection. The MME provides its eNodeBs with supplemental information about other PLMNs which can be considered for handover in accordance with dynamic criteria such as the time, location, subscriber group, etc to allow dynamic handover to other PLMNs in accordance with the commercial agreements.
A Method For Providing An Application Service In A Cellular Network
At least one application service is provided to a user equipment (10), utilizing an application service platform (150A) at an access node (110A) of a cellular network and a further application service platform (150A) at a further access node of the cellular network. A parameter is determined which is indicative of a delay associated with transfer of context data from the application service platform (150A) to the further application service platform (150B) in one or more handover messages controlling a handover of the user equipment (10) from the access node (110A) to the further access node (110B). The context data are associated with at least one user session of the at least one application service provided to the user equipment (10). Depending on the determined delay, migration of the user session from the application service platform (150A) to the further application service platform (150B) is controlled.
Beamforming handover messaging in a wireless network
A wireless device may support a plurality of channel state information (CSI) processes. The wireless device may send an indication of a number of supported CSI processes to a first base station. The first base station may send to the wireless device a handover command, instructing the wireless device to handover to a second base station. The handover command may comprise configuration parameters for CSI processes associated with the second base station. The configuration parameters may be based on the number of CSI processes supported by the wireless device.
