This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for a user equipment (UE) performing Listen Before Talk (LBT) procedures during a handover, such as during a dual active protocol stack (DAPS) handover or a conditional handover. During the handover, the UE may have a source connection with a source cell. If the source cell is unlicensed, the UE may perform LBT for a channel of the source cell. The UE may establish a target connection with a target cell before releasing the source connection with the source cell. If the target cell is unlicensed, the UE may perform LBT for a channel of the target cell.

MULTIPLE TRIGGER EVENTS BASED CONDITIONAL HANDOVER IN 5G NR NETWORKS
20210176682 · 2021-06-10 ·

A UE may decode a radio-resource control (RRC) reconfiguration message comprising a conditional handover (CHO) configuration (CHO-Config) which may identify a CHO configuration for at least one target candidate cell. The CHO configuration may include two or more CHO triggering events for an entry condition. The UE may monitor measurement quantities of the target candidate cell for the entry condition to determine if any of the CHO triggering events are met, start a first count-down timer when the entry condition of a first of the CHO triggering events is met and start a second count-down timer when the entry condition of a second of the CHO triggering events is met. The UE may apply the CHO configuration to the target candidate cell when both of the two CHO triggering events remain fulfilled upon expiration of the both timers.

Techniques for providing uplink-based mobility

Techniques are described for wireless communication. A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) includes identifying, while the UE is in a connected mode with a network, a radio resource configuration of the UE, selecting a dedicated set of resources for the UE or a common set of resources for a plurality of UEs based at least in part on the identified radio resource configuration, and transmitting a pilot signal to the network using the selected set of resources. Methods for wireless communication at a network access device and a network access device controller are also described.

Data transmission method and apparatus

The present application provides a data transmission method in a wireless communication system. A first security parameter indication is introduced into uplink data on a first bearer, and a base station can determine, based on the first security parameter indication in the uplink data, whether first security processing of the uplink data is performed using a first security parameter or a second security parameter, so as to select a corresponding security parameter to perform second security processing; and a second security parameter indication is introduced into downlink data, and UE can determine, based on the second security parameter indication in the downlink data, whether the first security processing of the data is performed using the first security parameter or the second security parameter, so as to select a corresponding security parameter to perform the second security processing.

Systems, devices and automated processes are provided of selective access to multiple available slices of a network from at least one cell by a user equipment (UE) to enable reductions in slice failure accesses to the network. The method includes: accessing at a first cell, by the UE, slice A of the network wherein slice A provides higher bandwidth and lower latency access than slice B; and accessing at a second cell, by the UE, both slice A and slice B of the network wherein slice B has greater access availability than slice A wherein if the UE attempts to access the first or second cell then via cell reselection of the UE making a determination to select the second cell if the user is authorized for use of a premium service for the higher bandwidth and lower latency access of slice A else selecting by the UE the first cell for network access of slice B.
