A method and apparatus a first network entity in a wireless communication system supporting ranging capability is provided. The method and apparatus comprises: identifying, in a ranging block, one or more ranging rounds to transmit a ranging control message (RCM) with a multiple message receipt confirmation request (MMRCR) for a transmission of at least one first message comprising at least one of a set of ranging messages or a set of ranging ancillary data messages; transmitting, to a second network entity, the RCM with the MMRCR; transmitting, to the second network entity, ranging ancillary data in at least one ranging round of one or more ranging rounds following the RCM, wherein the ranging ancillary data is associated with the MMRCR; and receiving, from the second network entity, a ranging multiple message receipt confirmation (RMMRC) corresponding to the transmission of the at least one first message.
Integrated backhaul transport for 5Gs
A mechanism is disclosed operating a transport network function (TNF) as part of a fifth generation wireless (5G) virtualized control plane. The mechanism includes receiving a request to compute a traffic engineering (TE) path in a 5G transport network for a packet data unit (PDU) session, the request received from a 5G virtualized control plane function via a service based interface (SBI) bus. Network topology information for the 5G transport network is obtained via a northbound interface (Nn). A TE path across the 5G transport network is computed for the PDU session based on the network topology information. A TE path identifier for the TE path computed for the PDU session is returned via the SBI bus.
System and method for an extender device
Many customers have difficulty setting up a new extender device in the customer premises environment to improve their multimedia service. Some embodiments include configuring an extender device based on existing WiFi network credentials to minimize errors. Some embodiments include an application for mobile devices that may enable the transfer of network credentials from existing multimedia devices on the WiFi network to configure a new extender device in real time. For example, the configuration may be based on a customer account, a corresponding environment, and corresponding multimedia devices associated with the customer account. The extender device may be configured with the network credentials (e.g., a WiFi service set identifier (SSID) and password) that is common to the corresponding multimedia devices associated with the customer account.
Method for relaying a route discovery request in a mesh communication network
For relaying a route-discovery request in order to discover at least one route from a source node device to a destination node device in a communication network comprising other node devices able to act as relays between the source node device and the destination node device, at least one node device among said other node devices dynamically defines a waiting delay value to be applied before relaying the route-discovery request. More precisely, said at least one node device defines the waiting delay value according to a quality level of a link via which the route-discovery request was received.
Managing outage detections and reporting
Systems and methods are disclosed for detecting node outages in a mesh network. A tracking node in the mesh network detects a set of signals originating from a tracked node in the mesh network. The set of signals includes beacons and communication messages transmitted by the tracked node. The tracking node determines that a threshold number of the alive beacon intervals have passed since receiving a most recent signal from the tracked node. The tracking node then outputs a ping to the tracked node requesting a response to the ping. When the response to the ping is not received from the tracked node, the tracking node transmits an outage alarm message to a next topologically higher layer of the mesh network, the outage alarm message comprising an identification of the tracked node.
Time sensitive communications between user equipment
Disclosed are systems, methods, integrated circuits and computer readable storage media for configuring time sensitive communications (TSC). The configuring of the TSC includes monitoring, by a user plane function (UPF), a source and destination of packets in a first protocol data unit (PDU) session of a first user equipment (UE) and in a second PDU session of a second UE, pairing a first device side TSN translator (DS-TT) port of the first UE with a second DS-TT port of the second UE when the first PDU session and the second PDU session are served by the same UPF, wherein the pairing is based on the monitoring of the first and second PDU sessions and when the first DS-TT and second DS-TT ports are paired, communicating the packets between the first UE and the second UE in a UE-UE communication without traversing the TSN.
Bluetooth mesh network system and communication method having unprovisioned communication mechanism
The present invention discloses a Bluetooth mesh network system having unprovisioned communication mechanism that includes a delivering node and a receiving node. The delivering node generates a beacon signal having identification information that is not a key and performs broadcast communication. The receiving node receives the beacon signal and performs identification and processing under a network communication protocol to execute a command corresponding to the beacon signal.

MULTIPATH GEOGRAPHIC ROUTING PROTOCOL
Systems and methods for routing data packets in mobile ad-hoc networks. An interest packet is sent from a data consumer to a data producer via multiple intermediate routing devices. The interest packet is transmitted from one routing device to the next routing device based on the geographic position of the routing devices and the interest message carries information about the links and network nodes it passes when being transmitted. The data packet is transmitted from the data producer to the data consumer the same path in the reverse order. In case one of the intermediate nodes is not available anymore, due to the mobile nature of the ad-hoc network, an opportunistic forwarding strategy is applied.
