Wireless network association and authentication system

A wireless network association and authentication system includes an access point that is coupled to an authentication server via a first wireless network. The access point receives, from a first user device that associates with the access point, a first request for access to a second wireless network provided by the access point that is coupled to a wide area network through the first wireless network. The first request includes first authentication information. The access point provides the first request that includes the first authentication information to the authentication server via the first wireless network and receives a first authentication response from the authentication server via the first wireless network. In response to the first authentication response indicating that the first user device is authenticated, the access point provides the first user device access to the second wireless network.

Wake-up frame indication

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to wake-up frame indication. A device may determine a wake up receiver (WUR) wake-up frame to be sent to a first station device of one or more station devices. The device may determine one or more indications associated with the first station device, wherein the one or more indications indicate to the first station device, one or more actions to be taken by the first station device after waking up a primary connectivity radio (PCR) of the first station device. The device may cause a medium access control (MAC) layer to encode the WUR wake-up frame with the one or more indications associated with the first station device. The device may cause to send the WUR wake-up frame to the first station device using a physical layer (PHY).

METHODS, INFRASTRUCTURE EQUIPMENT AND WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS NETWORKS

A method for determining a route in an Integrated Access Backhaul “IAB” mesh zone. The method comprises transmitting, to each IAB node of a plurality of IAB nodes, one or more discovery parameters for each IAB node; determining one or more route selection parameters for each IAB node to select a route; a first IAB node of the plurality of IAB nodes determining, based on the one or more discovery parameters, that a second IAB node of the plurality of IAB nodes is discoverable; and upon receiving a packet, selecting a route from the first IAB node based on the one or more route selection parameters and on the first IAB node determining that the second IAB node is discoverable.

BEACON-BASED INTEGRATED SECURITY MONITORING

An electronic device configured for retail display includes an antenna, a memory in which security monitoring instructions are stored, and a processor configured to execute the security monitoring instructions to monitor a profile of wireless beacon devices detected via the antenna. The processor is further configured via the execution of the security monitoring instructions to, upon detection of a profile of wireless beacon devices that exceeds a threshold, initiate a security measure for the electronic device.

METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND COMPUTER READABLE MEDIA FOR OPTIMIZED ROUTING OF SERVICE BASED INTERFACE (SBI) REQUEST MESSAGES TO REMOTE NETWORK FUNCTION (NF) REPOSITORY FUNCTIONS USING INDIRECT COMMUNICATIONS VIA SERVICE COMMUNICATIONS PROXY (SCP)
20230042219 · 2023-02-09 ·

A method for optimized routing of service based interface (SBI) request messages to remote network function (NF) repository functions (NRFs) using indirect communications via a service communications proxy (SCP) includes, at an SCP including at least one processor, receiving an SBI request message. The method further includes forwarding the SBI request message to a remote NRF. The method further includes determining that the remote NRF is unable to process the SBI request message, and, in response to determining that the remote NRF is unable, identifying a georedundant mate of the remote NRF. The method further includes forwarding the SBI request message to the georedundant mate NRF of the remote NRF that is unable to process the SBI request message.

Apparatus and methods for EHT multi-link BBS parameter update

Embodiments of the present invention provide apparatus and methods for announcing a BSS parameter updates for a wireless link that can be received by a MLD even when the MLD is not listening for parameter updates on that specific link by employing a different wireless link to broadcast, receive, and/or signal the BSS parameter update. An MLD can update the BSS parameters of the wireless link and use the wireless link according to the updated BSS parameters (e.g., after performing a channel switch). According to some embodiments, an STA within an AP MLD transmits an information elements (IE) including BSS parameter updates associated with a different STA (operating on a different wireless link) within the AP MLD.

Method and apparatus for performing device-to-device discovery

Methods and apparatus for performing device-to-device (D2D) discovery are described. A service discovery process may include a discoverable device (e.g., a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU)) sending a discovery request, over a wireless connection, for a radio resource for the purpose of performing a transmission for radio frequency (RF) proximity detection for a given service. The WTRU may receive a discovery response including a configuration for RF proximity detection from a network, which configuration may be associated to the service. The configuration for RF proximity may be received by dedicated signaling, (e.g., physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH)), in particular for a discoverable WTRU. The configuration for RF proximity may be received on a broadcast channel, (e.g., a discovery shared channel (DISCH)), in particular for a monitoring WTRU, and may include one or more service identities, each associated with an RF proximity detection configuration, or a validity information and a measurement configuration.

ANALYSIS AND MONITORING OF A POSITIONING INFRASTRUCTURE

It is disclosed a method comprising one or more of the following: a first determining whether or not at least one characteristic that has been derived from a coverage map being representative of respective coverage areas of a plurality of beacons deployed in an area is affected at least by a count of the beacons deployed in the area and to their respective positions and affects an accuracy of a positioning of one or more terminals located in the area that is at least based on the coverage map and on respective fingerprints provided by the one or more terminals, is considered at least partially insufficient, and a providing, in case the first determining has come to an affirmative result, of first information on the at least one characteristic considered at least partially insufficient and/or on instances that at least contributed to the at least one characteristic being considered at least partially insufficient; a second determining, at least based on one or more fingerprints received from one or more terminals, whether or not an existing coverage map for an area can still be considered to be representative of respective coverage areas of a plurality of beacons deployed in the area, and a providing, in case the second determining has come to an affirmative result, of second information indicative of the result and/or indicative of why the existing coverage map is no longer considered to be representative of the respective coverage areas of the plurality of beacons deployed in the area; a third determining whether or not a status of a beacon on which information is transmitted by the beacon and received and provided by a terminal is considered improvable, and a providing, in case the third determining has come to an affirmative result, of third information on the beacon and/or on the status of the beacon; a deriving, from a coverage map that is representative of respective coverage areas of a plurality of beacons deployed in an area, of respective positions of one or more of the beacons, and a providing of fourth information representative of one or more of the derived respective positions of the one or more beacons.
