On the other hand, the communication apparatus receives information indicating device capabilities from another communication apparatus when the other communication apparatus is determined as the network management apparatus.

A method for user equipment route selection policy (URSP) rule-based application data routing, user equipment (UE), and a storage medium are provided. The method includes: obtaining, by the UE, a list of URSP rules and a route selection descriptor (RSD) indication in the list of URSP rules, and establishing protocol data unit (PDU) sessions according to the RSD indication; obtaining, by the UE, traffic descriptor (TD) parameters in the URSP rules, and establishing a mapping between the TD parameters and the PDU sessions; and obtaining, by the UE, application data and a parameter corresponding to the application data, and determining a routing path of the application data according to the parameter and the mapping.

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may transmit a registration request for restricted access (RA), wherein the registration request selectively includes an onboarding access request. The UE may selectively communicate with an onboarding network to authenticate and authorize a particular network based at least in part on whether the registration request includes the onboarding access request. The UE may complete the RA registration after transmitting the registration request and based at least in part on selectively communicating with the onboarding network to authenticate and authorize the particular network. The present application discloses a method for accessing a network slice, an electronic device, and a storage medium. The method includes: acquiring access information of a target network slice according to an access request of an application for requesting to access the target network slice; generating a routing policy between the application and the target network slice according to the access information; and accessing the application to the target network slice according to the routing policy, so that the application performs network communication through the target network slice.

An embodiment relates to an operating method of a UE related to a sidelink relay in a wireless communication system, the operating method comprising: receiving, by the UE, a relay functionality enable-related request message; setting, by the UE, a timer; and enabling, by the UE, relay functionality on the basis of expiration of the timer, wherein the timer is released on the basis of receiving a broadcast message notifying relay functionality enable.

A method for a relaying system. The method for improving an awareness of the relaying system by user equipment includes encoding information about a relaying service in a vehicle-to-everything message and transmitting the vehicle-to-everything message to the user equipment to improve user equipment's awareness of the relaying system's relaying service.

A method of mapping and characterizing a communication network is described. Segments are mapped by having each node of the network sending and receiving messages to discover its partner until the network is fully mapped. Each segment is characterized by sample messages sent along each segment, with received signal level at each end of the segment being measured and used to calculate cable segment parameters. Location tags may have their positions estimated by using signal levels at each end of a leaky cable segment receiving the tag signal to estimate the position of location tag.

A method and device are disclosed for a relay User Equipment (UE) supporting connection with another UE. In addition, the method includes the relay UE transmitting a Direct Communication Request message to the third UE, wherein the Direct Communication Request message includes the third User Info of the third UE. Furthermore, the method includes the relay UE receiving a Direct Communication Accept message from the third UE. The method also includes the relay UE transmitting a Link Modification Accept message to the first UE in response to reception of the Direct Communication Accept message.
