LOCALITY-BASED NETWORK SLICING IN RADIO-BASED NETWORKS
Disclosed are various embodiments for locality-based network slicing in radio-based networks. In one embodiment, network traffic is received via a network slice in a radio-based network. The radio-based network includes a radio access network and an associated core network. The network slice is associated with at least one locality rule requiring that the network traffic remain within a particular geographic area. It is determined that the radio-based network has resources to comply with the locality rule(s). The network traffic in the radio-based network is acted upon in order to comply with the locality rule(s).

COMMUNICATION CONTROL DEVICE, COMMUNICATION CONTROL METHOD, PROGRAM, AND COMMUNICATION CONTROL SYSTEM
[Object] To make it possible to more stably perform communication.
[Solution] There is provided a communication control device including: a communication status grasping unit configured to grasp a communication status of wireless communication of image information between an image shooting device and a surgical site image information acquiring unit on the basis of an operating room image showing a situation of an operating room, the image shooting device capturing an image of a surgical site of a patient, the surgical site image information acquiring unit acquiring information on a surgical site image captured by the image shooting device for display control of the surgical site image; and a communication method deciding unit configured to decide a communication method between the image shooting device and the surgical site image information acquiring unit on the basis of the grasped communication status.
ALTERNATE WIRELESS WAN CONNECTIVITY OVER 2.4 GHZ/5GHZ IN HOME ROUTERS
A gateway device is disclosed for use with a WAN, wireless WAN, a LAN, a client device and a wireless device. The client device includes: a memory; a primary communication system; a wireless communication system; and a processor configured to execute instructions stored on the memory to cause the network device to: instruct the primary communication system to transpond the client device data between the client device and the WAN and to transpond the wireless device data between the wireless device and the WAN; detect a loss of connection with the WAN; and instruct the wireless communication system to transpond the client device data between the client device and the WAN via the wireless device and the wireless WAN.
Dynamic wireless-client distribution across radio bands
During disclosed communication techniques, an electronic device (such as an access point) may receive one or more packets from another electronic device, where the other electronic device has an established connection or association with the electronic device, and the one or more packets are communicated using a first band of frequencies. Then, the electronic device may determine to recommend a basic service set (BSS) transition from the first band of frequencies to at least a second band of frequencies. Moreover, the electronic device may provide a request packet to the other electronic device with a recommendation with one or more candidates for the BSS transition, such as a channel in the second band of frequencies. Next, the electronic device may receive a response packet from the other electronic device, where the response packet indicates a remedial action of the other electronic device in response to the request packet.

NOTIFICATION OF EVENT SUBSEQUENT TO COMMUNICATION FAILURE WITH SECURITY SYSTEM
Methods and systems for monitoring a premises are described. A server external to the premises may be in communication with a system at the premises. The server may receive status data from the system from one or more interfaces. If a loss of communication occurs on one interface, then the status data may be received via a second interface. The server may determine timing information for status data received via the first interface and for status data received via the second interface. The server may send, based on the timing information, a message to a computing device indicating the loss of communication.

Forwarding telephone calls to a mobile terminal via a femtocell
An application server for use in a telecommunications network. The application server comprises a receiver for receiving an indication of a call setup or message to a fixed line telephone number of a subscriber, a determining unit for determining whether a mobile station of the subscriber is connected to a home femtocell of the subscriber, and a redirection unit for causing the call setup or message to be redirected towards the mobile station if the subscriber's mobile station is connected to the home femtocell.
