Hardware configurable security, monitoring and automation controller having modular communication protocol interfaces
A single platform for controller functionality for each of security, monitoring and automation, as well as providing a capacity to function as a bidirectional Internet gateway, is provided. Embodiments of the present invention provide such functionality by virtue of a configurable architecture that enables a user to adapt the system for the user's specific needs. Embodiments of the present invention further provide such functionality by providing for installation of removable, modular communication adapters for communication with a variety of devices external to the security, monitoring and automation controller.

Systems and methods for performing User Plane (UP) path selection or reselection over a communications network with a 3.sup.rd party entity, and for notifying network entities of UP changes in a communications network, are disclosed. The method includes: receiving an application program interface based request for UP path selection from the 3.sup.rd party entity; performing a validation and authorization procedure with the request; transmitting a UP path selection configuration request to a Control Plane Function that maintains configuration data; obtaining a reference number confirming the UP path selection configuration request; and installing the UP path selection according to the reference number.

Mechanisms for service recovery in neighbor awareness network (NAN)
Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing wireless devices. A service is provided by a first application operating on a publisher device to a second application operating on a subscriber device over a first data path between the two devices in a NAN network. The publisher device includes a first recovery manager to receive an indication from a wireless controller of the publisher device or a distress message from a second recovery manager of the subscriber device. The received indication or distress message indicates that the first data path has been interrupted. The first recovery manager stores, in a memory, data generated by the first application. A second data path is established between the publisher device and the subscriber device. The first recovery manager sends the stored data to the second application that operates on a subscriber device.
COMMUNICATION CONTROL METHOD AND RELAY APPARATUS
A communication control method is executed in a relay apparatus included in a plurality of relay apparatuses in a system provided with an upstream path formed with the plurality of relay apparatuses between a user equipment and a first donor apparatus. The communication control method includes transferring, in the upstream path, data received from a lower apparatus lower than the relay apparatus to a first upper apparatus higher than the relay apparatus, buffering data having yet to be transmitted to the first upper apparatus, re-establishing, when a failure occurs in a backhaul link established between the relay apparatus and the first upper apparatus, a backhaul link of the relay apparatus with a second upper apparatus, and determining whether to transfer the buffered data to the second upper apparatus based on whether a second donor apparatus managing the second upper apparatus is identical to the first donor apparatus.

RELAY DEVICE FOR TRANSFERRING ROUTED SIGNALS, AND TERMINAL DEVICE
A relay device that relays communication between a base station device and a terminal device receives a signal transmitted for the communication from another device, determines a transfer destination device for data that is included in the received signal based on identification information that is included in the received signal and indicates a path through which the data is transferred between the base station device and the terminal device, and transmits the signal that includes the data to the determined transfer destination device. The relay device determines a specific device as the transfer destination device when the relay device is not included in the path indicated by the identification information.

Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, apparatuses and computer program products for enforcing a rule related to traffic routing. A method implemented at a terminal device comprises receiving a rule related to traffic routing for traffic and enforcement information for the rule; and controlling enforcement of the rule based on the enforcement information. The enforcement information indicates whether a modification to a PDU session associated with the traffic due to the enforcement of the rule is allowed.
