METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROVIDING SERVICE TO USER DEVICE BY USING NETWORK SLICE IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Provided in the present disclosure are a method and a device for providing a service to a user device by using a network slice in a communication system. A method according to one embodiment of the present disclosure can comprise the steps of: receiving, from a second network function device, management function configuration information about a first core network slice, including the quota of a first core network slice; reporting status information about the first core network slice to a third network function device on the basis of the management function configuration information; receiving, from the third network function device, parameters for controlling the status of the first core network slice; and controlling access of a terminal that is to use the first core network slice, on the basis of the status information about the first core network slice and the parameters for control.
Methods and Apparatuses for Managing Compromised Communication Devices in a Communication Network
A communication network (10) provides communicative coupling between potentially large populations of Internet-of-Things (IoT) devices (12) and/or other types of communication devices (12) and one or more Application Servers (ASs) (14) that are affiliated with respective ones of the communication devices (12). One or more network functions (30, 58) in the communication network (10) are operative to determine that any given one of the communication devices (12) is compromised, or that multiple such devices (12) are compromised, and provide for management of such devices (12) within the network (10) as “compromised” devices (12). Aspects of compromised-device management include forcing re-registration of such devices (12), for quarantining them in one or more quarantine network slices (54), and recovering quarantined devices (12) after remediation of the compromise. Recovery operations include forcing re-registration of devices (12) being recovered, for migration back to their normal or regular network slice(s) (50).
DUAL SUBSCRIBER IDENTITY MODULE RADIO DEVICE AND SERVICE RECOVERY METHOD
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a radio device that has first and second subscriber identity modules; radio resources; a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations of establishing a first communications network connection associated with the first subscriber identity module; establishing a second communications network connection associated with the second subscriber identity module; determining a communications activity on the first communications network connection; pausing or suspending activities of the second communications network connection; and blocking use of the radio resources by the second communications network connection. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Intent-based service engine for a 5G or other next generation mobile core network
A context-aware network service engine is employed to support integrated network. In one aspect, the network service engine can receive a message associated with the user's intent and/or situation via a standard and/or open application programming interface (API). Based on an analysis of the message with context data and/or defined policy data, the network service engine can establish procedures to provide integrated services. The integrated services can comprise multiple communication services that are initiated simultaneously (or substantially simultaneously) in response to receiving the message. As an example, the context data can comprise user-related data, real-time network resource availability, presence data, and the like. As an example, the network services can be initiated concurrently and/or in a specified order.
Method and apparatus for cell reservation and access restriction
A method for wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) is provided. The method includes: receiving a master information block (MIB) from a cell, the MIB including a cell barred information element (IE); receiving a system information block type 1 (SIB1) from the cell, the SIB1 including a first non-public network (NPN) identity (ID), a first cell reserved for operator use IE associated with the first NPN ID, and a cell reserved for other use IE; and determining to treat the cell as a candidate cell for cell selection or cell reselection procedures when the cell barred IE is “not barred”, the cell reserved for other use IE is not “true”, the first cell reserved for operator use IE is “reserved”, the first NPN ID matches a registered stand-alone NPN (SNPN) ID of the UE, and an access ID of the UE is 11 or 15.
Method and user equipment for cell (re)selection
A method and a User Equipment (UE) for cell (re)selection are provided. The method includes: receiving an intra-frequency-reselection indicator in a Master Information Block (MIB) from a cell on a specific frequency; determining whether the cell belongs to a network to which the UE is registered; determining other cells on the specific frequency as barred cells that the UE is not permitted to select in an intra-frequency cell reselection, in a case that the cell belongs to the network and the intra-frequency-reselection indicator is set to a first value indicating that the intra-frequency cell reselection is not allowed to be performed; and performing the intra-frequency cell reselection to the other cells on the specific frequency, in a case that the cell does not belong to the network or the intra-frequency-reselection indicator is set to a second value indicating that the intra-frequency cell reselection is allowed to be performed.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OBTAINING SYSTEM INFORMATION
The present invention is directed to a method and an apparatus for use in a wireless communication system. Specifically, the present invention is directed to a method comprising: receiving essential System Information (SI) from a first cell, the essential SI including information for acquiring an on-demand SI; requesting the on-demand SI to the first cell; if the on-demand SI is not received from the first cell in a first specific period of time after the requesting the on-demand SI to the first cell is successful, re-requesting the on-demand SI to the first cell; and if the on-demand SI is not received from the first cell in a second specific period of time after a total number of requesting the on-demand SI to the first cell reaches a maximum value, re-selecting a second cell under assumption that the first cell is a barred cell, and an apparatus therefore.

COLLECTION DEVICE, MEASUREMENT TERMINAL, COLLECTION SYSTEM, COLLECTION METHOD, MEASUREMENT METHOD, COLLECTION PROGRAM, AND MEASUREMENT PROGRAM
A collection device includes a deciding unit that, on the basis of data obtained in advance for each area, decides a collection interval and a collection time for each of the areas, a communication unit that acquires a current position from each of measurement terminals, and an allocating unit that, in a case where there is an area corresponding to the current position acquired regarding each of the measurement terminals, calculates a slot count of slots regarding which the collection interval and the collection time are cyclically allocated, on the basis of the collection interval and the collection time of this area, and allocates slot Nos. of an amount equivalent to the slot count, to any of the measurement terminals present in this area, by a predetermined method. The communication unit transmits, to each of the measurement terminals to which slot Nos. are allocated, the collection interval of the area in which the measurement terminal is present, the collection time of this area, the slot count of this area, and the slot No. allocated to the measurement terminal, and receives measurement information including measurement data measured on the basis of the collection interval and the collection time, from each of the measurement terminals to which slot Nos. are allocated.
