A method of controlling a household appliance including receiving a device connection request signal through ultra wideband (UWB) communication from a user terminal, obtaining location information of the user terminal based on the received device connection request signal, establishing a UWB communication channel between the household appliance and the user terminal based on the obtained location information. The method includes receiving network access information to access a network from the user terminal through the established UWB communication channel, and establishing a network connection for the household appliance to access the network based on the received network access information.

A control device receives information, e.g., network status information and network loading information, from a plurality of service provider networks and device capability information and status information, from a plurality of user equipment (UE) devices. UEs subscribe to multiple service provider networks. In some geographical regions, coverage is provided by more than one network. The control device generates and sends device profile to network mapping information to UEs on an individual UE basis, e.g., for geographic regions, e.g., 3D regions, where multiple networks are available. Device profile to network mapping information sometimes includes criteria, e.g. rules, parameter, limits, etc. An application on the UE uses the received device profile to network mapping information, along with position information, to select a network/profile to use at a given time. Altering the information provided to one or more UEs allows the control device to perform load balancing between networks.
Method and Apparatus for Critical Control Message Transfer Across Networks
A network device of a network may generate a network information container including information to be sent to a communication device. The network is a home network of the communication device that is served by a visited network. The network information container may be integrity protected and/or cipher protected. The network device may send, to the communication device via the visited network, a message including the network information container and a credential indicator indicating a type of credential used to protect the network information container. The type of credential may be a 3GPP or non-3GPP credential. The communication device may verify the network information container using one or more security parameters based on the type of credential, and obtain the information in the network information container when the verification succeeds, or discard the network information container when the verification fails.
