WIRELESS ACCESS POINT PROXIMITY ZONES
Techniques are described by which a network management system (NMS) is configured to generate and monitor an RSSI-based proximity zone for a wireless network using a user interface (UI). The NMS may generate a UI comprising UI elements representing access point (AP) devices configured to provide a wireless network at a site; receive, at the user interface, an indication of a user input selecting one or more UI elements representing selected AP devices; establish a proximity zone for each of the selected AP devices based on an RSSI threshold value; receive network data comprising proximity information of a client device relative to the selected AP devices; generate, based on proximity assessments using the proximity information and the RSSI threshold value of the proximity zone, one or more proximity events indicating the client device relation to the proximity zone; and invoke, based on the proximity events, one or more actions.
Network accessing method and communications apparatus utilizing the same
A network accessing method includes performing a cell search procedure for a first RAT; receiving first SI from a first cell of the first RAT when the first cell has been found in the cell search procedure; determining whether second SI is scheduled by the first cell according to content of the first SI; receiving the second SI in response to determination of the second SI being scheduled and deriving information regarding a second cell of a second RAT different from the first RAT; searching for the second cell according to the information regarding the second cell; and attempting to access the second cell instead of the first cell when the second cell has been found. The first cell is configured to provide access to a first core network and the second cell is configured to provide access to a second core network different from the first core network.

Dynamic RAT determination for common resource blocks
A system and method of managing network resources is provided, in which a noise threshold for an access node is set, the access node including a first plurality of resource blocks corresponding to communication in a first communication mode and a second plurality of resource blocks corresponding to communication in either of the first communication mode or a second communication mode; a noise parameter for the second plurality of resource blocks is monitored; the noise parameter is compared to the noise threshold; and in response to a determination that the noise parameter exceeds the noise threshold, access to the second plurality of resource blocks for communication in the first communication mode is restricted.
Method for determining control plane node, apparatus, and wireless communications system
Embodiments of the present invention relate to the communications field, and provide a method for determining a control plane node, an apparatus, and a wireless communications system, so as to select, for UE, a control plane node corresponding to a network slice to which the UE belongs, thereby ensuring that the control plane node can provide a customized service for the UE. The method includes: obtaining, by UE, indication information, where the indication information is used to indicate a network slice to which the UE belongs; and sending, by the UE, an access layer request message to a radio access network node, where the access layer request message includes the indication information, and the access layer request message is used to trigger the radio access network node to determine, based on the indication information, a control plane node corresponding to the network slice for the UE.
Electronic device and method for searching for PLMN in wireless communication system
An electronic device according to various embodiments can comprise: a housing; a wireless communication circuit located in the housing; a processor operationally connected to the wireless communication circuit; and a memory located inside the housing and operationally connected to the processor, wherein the memory can store instructions such that, when executed, the processor performs camp-on on a cell of a first base station through the wireless communication circuit, receives, from the first base station, information related to a network related to the first base station, identifies a state in which no service is provided from the first base station to the electronic device, and searches for a registered public land mobile network (RPLMN) on the basis of at least a portion of the received information.

Slicing policy for user equipment
User circuitry within a wireless User Equipment (“UE”) in need of a network slice or a handoff between cells identifies a slice service type. The user circuitry processes an uplink interference threshold of a target cell based on the slice service type. The user circuitry identifies a preferred operating frequency band based on the slice service type and the uplink interference threshold of the target cell. The user circuitry transfers a service request for a wireless data service having the slice service type over the preferred operating frequency band to network circuitry. The network circuitry wirelessly exchanges data with a wireless access node associated with the target cell over the preferred operating frequency band to establish a packet data unit session comprising the slice service type.
SUPPORTING DEVICES WITH DIFFERENT BANDWIDTH CAPABILITY IN A COMMUNICATION NETWORK
To support devices with different bandwidth capabilities, a base station configures a first initial bandwidth part (BWP) of a first width within a bandwidth of the first cell (1002) and configures a second initial BWP of a second width, within the bandwidth of the first cell (1004). The base station transmits an indication of the first BWP in the first cell and an indication of the second BWP in the first cell or a second cell, to cause a first user equipment UE having a first bandwidth capability to access the first BWP, and a second UE having a second bandwidth capability to access the second BWP (1006).
