TECHNIQUES FOR TRANSMITTING REMAINING MINIMUM SYSTEM INFORMATION

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may determine to operate in accordance with an energy saving mode in which the base station only transmits remaining minimum system information (RMSI) on-demand or reduces transmission of RMSI with respect to when the base station is operating outside of the energy saving mode. A user equipment (UE) may detect the base station that is operating in an energy saving mode. The UE may transmit a request for the base station to transmit the RMSI to the UE, where the UE may transmit the request to the energy saving base station or to a serving base station of the UE. The UE may receive, from the base station operating in the energy saving mode and responsive to the request, a message including the remaining minimum system information.

CONTROL CHANNEL MONITORING RULES FOR INTER-CELL BEAM MANAGEMENT

Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, are provided for control channel monitoring. In some example embodiments, there may be provided a method that includes receiving, at the user equipment, an indication of a codepoint activation, wherein the codepoint activation indicates that a transmission configuration indicator state being activated is associated with a second physical cell identifier different from a first physical cell identifier of a serving cell of the user equipment; and in response to the transmission configuration indicator state being activated in association with the second physical cell identifier, suspending control channel monitoring of at least one set of core resources associated with the first physical cell identifier of the serving cell of the user equipment. Related systems, methods, and articles of manufacture are also disclosed.

Temporary Bandwidth Part Switch Suitable for Reduced Capability Device

A UE is connected to a serving cell via an active BWP of a first BWP, and receives a message having criteria for switching from the first BWP to a second BWP. In response to at least one of the criteria being met, the UE waits until a first preconfigured time to switch from the first BWP to the second BWP, and switches the active BWP from the first BWP to the second BWP. The UE communicates with the serving cell and performs SSB measurements while using the second BWP as the active BWP. The UE switches from the second BWP to the first BWP after a second preconfigured time corresponding to a duration of time in the second BWP. The serving cell sends the message having the criteria, switches active BWPs accordingly, and communicates with the UE in the active BWPs.

Interference Reduction in Telecommunication Networks

Various embodiments of the teachings herein include a computer-implemented method for scheduling transmissions of a plurality of data streams in a telecommunication network. The transmissions are partitioned into transmission cycles with a predetermined length in time. Repetitive transmissions of each of the data streams are transmitted based on the predetermined length multiplied by a respective repetition rate. The method includes: determining a path through the network for the transmissions of each stream; determining a shared transmission links based on a comparison of the paths, wherein each shared transmission link is part of at least two of the paths; based on a numerical optimization, determining a phase of the repetitive transmissions for each data stream, the optimization using an objective function with a value for interference between two repetitive transmissions; and scheduling the transmissions of each data stream, wherein the transmissions start at a transmission cycle associated with the respective phase.
