20180014235 · 2018-01-11 ·

The present disclosure provides a method for supporting UE access control. A base station is informed by a ProSe Function via a MME or informed by the MIME of information indicating whether a UE is authorized for a D2D service. The base station performs an access control to the UE according to the information indicating whether the UE is authorized for the D2D service. The present disclosure further provides a method in which a source base station informs a target base station of the information indicating whether the UE is authorized for a D2D service. The target base station performs an access control according to the information.

System, security and network management using self-organizing communication orbits in distributed networks

A method is provided of managing a non-static collection of machines. A first client machine runs a first communication protocol. The non-static collection of machines includes a first linear communication orbit, the first linear communication orbit comprising a sequence of machines that run the first communication protocol, and a second linear communication orbit, the second linear communication orbit comprising a sequence of machines that run a second communication protocol distinct from the first communication protocol. The first client machine receives an instruction from a server to install the second communication protocol, installs the second communication protocol, and then submits a registration request to the server. The first client machine receives, from the server, contact information of a list of potential neighbors. The first client machine then, proactively constructs and maintains a respective local segment of the second linear communication orbit.

System and method for remotely assessing, analyzing, evaluating, and ranking mobile network operator and country compatibility against mobile device spectrum and technology capabilities

A compatibility system for determining a technical compatibility of one or more electronic devices and one or more mobile network operators is disclosed. The compatibility system obtains data from a plurality of data sources and integrate the data to generate a platform that determines ability of at least one of: the electronic devices and the mobile network operators for a communication between each other. The compatibility system determines device attributes and network attributes by integrating the compatibility system with data related to electronic devices and mobile network operators respectively. The compatibility system evaluates radio bands supported by the electronic devices and mobile network operators and identifies potential carriers of the mobile network operators, and a plurality of known potential countries globally, which are compatible with the radio bands of the one or more electronic devices in order to determine the compatibility of the electronic devices and the mobile network operators.

Method of reporting RSSI measurements in an unlicensed band and related apparatus

A user equipment obtains configuration information used to detect a received signal strength indicator (RSSI) value of a signal on an unlicensed frequency, samples the signal on the unlicensed frequency at a sampling interval included in the configuration information to obtain RSSI values of the signal on the unlicensed frequency sampled at sampling moments. The user equipment determines statistics on the RSSI values of the signal on the unlicensed frequency within a statistical window, obtains an RSSI value statistical result of the signal on the unlicensed frequency based on the statistics, and reports the RSSI value statistical result to a base station.
