Convergence of a 5.sup.th-Generation communication system supporting higher data rates beyond 4.sup.th-Generation system(s) with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT) may be applied to intelligent services. Operator specific services are permitted and provided by allowing an unauthorized terminal to search for and access the such services, and includes notifying a terminal of information corresponding to “operator specific services” by allowing a base station to broadcast predetermined information, displaying information acquired by a terminal, matching information acquired by the terminal with information broadcast from a base station to arrange services, requesting access and notifying a terminal performs an access for “operator specific services” upon accessing a network, providing a menu for determining whether neighboring base stations are capable of “operator specific services” to a user of a terminal, and allowing the terminal to determine whether there is the base station broadcasting the information.

A method for transmitting in a communication network uplink data from an application module in a user terminal. Aspects of the disclosure relate to a multi-mode wireless access protocol (MMWAP). A redirection router may receive a pre-association request, from a user communication device, and send an acknowledgment of the pre-association request. The user communication device may further transmit authorization keys associated with an application installed in the user communication device. Based on the authorization keys, the redirection router may send an authentication indication to the user communication device. The user communication device may use the redirection router to transmit and receive messages associated with the application to public networks and other private networks. The redirection router may maintain multi-mode connectivity independently with multiple user communication devices.

A method of a network function (NF) entity performing communication in a wireless communication system includes: in case that a first registration request of a user equipment (UE) for a slice is received at an access and mobility function (AMF) entity through a first network, receiving a first slice availability request message for the slice from the AMF entity; determining whether the slice is available for the UE, based on a network slice policy; and transmitting, to the AMF entity, a response message including information regarding slice availability of the UE according to the first registration request, wherein in case that a second registration request of the UE for the slice is received at the AMF entity through a second network, slice availability of the UE according to the second registration request is determined based on at least one of the network slice policy or the information regarding the slice availability of the UE according to the first registration request.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS OF USING REMOTE SUBSCRIBER IDENTIFICATION MODULES AT A DEVICE
The present invention discloses methods and systems for communicating at a cellular router between a first wireless communication module and a first subscriber identity module (SIM). The cellular router receives a first request from a first wireless communication module and encapsulates the first request in a first modified request. The cellular router then sends the first modified request to a first SIM card in a first communication apparatus and waits for a first modified reply. While waiting for the first modified reply the cellular router sends at least one halt message to the first wireless communication module after a first time threshold. After receiving the first modified reply, the cellular router decapsulates the first modified reply to retrieve a first reply and sends the first reply to the first wireless communication module where the first modified reply is a reply to the first modified request.
