Embodiments of the present application provide a method and apparatus of communication between a terminal and a base station. The communication method between a terminal and a base station performed by the terminal includes: sending, by the terminal, a network access request frame with a first preamble to a relay device. The relay device may be configured to receive the network access request frame according to the first preamble, send the network access request frame with a second preamble to the base station, and receive a network access response frame returned by the base station. The length of the second preamble may be smaller than that of the first preamble. The communication method may further includes receiving, by the terminal, the network access response frame sent by the relay device.

A communication method according to an embodiment comprises: broadcasting, from a base station to a user terminal, a system information block (SIB) including information for identifying an extended system frame number incremented by 1 when a system frame number (SFN) is returned to an initial value after reaching a maximum value; receiving, by the user terminal, the system information block from the base station; and using, by the user terminal in an idle, the extended system frame number identified by the information in order to determine a paging frame including a timing at which a paging is monitored by an extended DRX (eDRX).

In particular, the embodiments disclosed herein can reduce battery consumption in a transmitting electronic device and enhance data integrity of data received by a receiving electronic device. According to the embodiments, a first electronic device transmits advertising packets according to a wireless communications protocol, wherein the advertising packets include a first payload data. In response to receiving the advertising packets, a second electronic device can transmit a scan request to the first electronic device which, in turn, terminates the transmission of advertising packets.
Dynamic bandwidth switching for reducing power consumption in wireless communication devices
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer-program products for performing dynamic bandwidth switching between control signals and data signals of differing bandwidths are disclosed. A mobile device receives a control signal having a first bandwidth. The mobile device receives a data signal having a second bandwidth different from the first bandwidth. The control signal and the data signal are received over a single carrier frequency. The data signal is transmitted after the control signal such that the data signal and control signal are separated by a time interval. The time interval is based on a switching latency of the mobile device.
Method and apparatus for power control for wireless transmissions on multiple component carriers associated with multiple timing advances
A method and apparatus for power control for wireless transmissions are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may reduce transmission power to channels for carrier aggregation such that a total transmit power of the WTRU is smaller than or equal to a maximum transmission power level in all symbols of a transmission. Further, transmission power may be allocated to the channels for carrier aggregation based on priority. Also, transmission power may be allocated to a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) or a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) with uplink control information over a PUSCH without uplink control information. Moreover, transmission power may be allocated to a PUCCH or a PUSCH over a sounding reference signal (SRS) transmission. Additionally, the WTRU may transmit data over one or more channels, of the channels for carrier aggregation, at the respective transmission power allocated to the one or more channels.

A method includes obtaining a set of pressure measurements at an electronic pump and storing the set of pressure measurements in a memory storage, where each measurement time of the set of pressure measurements is within a measurement duration. The method includes determining and sending a measure of central tendency to a second computing device via a first wireless signal. The method also includes determining a subset of pressure measurements based on the set of pressure measurements. The method includes transferring the first subset of pressure measurements to a data collection device via a second wireless signal, wherein an operating frequency of the second wireless signal is greater than one gigahertz and deleting the first subset of measurements from the memory storage.
WIRELESS PAGING MODE FOR LOW-POWER OPERATION
Method and apparatus for generating and receiving a paging signal are provided. The paging signal may be received by a wireless device in a low-power state. The paging signal may include a target identification (ID) that may be associated with the wireless device. If the target ID is associated with the wireless device, the wireless device may leave the low-power state, enter an active power state and communicate with other wireless devices. The wireless device may include power harvesting circuitry to convert RF energy from the paging signal into power to operate a portion of the wireless device.
