Wake-up frame indication

This disclosure describes systems, methods, and devices related to wake-up frame indication. A device may determine a wake up receiver (WUR) wake-up frame to be sent to a first station device of one or more station devices. The device may determine one or more indications associated with the first station device, wherein the one or more indications indicate to the first station device, one or more actions to be taken by the first station device after waking up a primary connectivity radio (PCR) of the first station device. The device may cause a medium access control (MAC) layer to encode the WUR wake-up frame with the one or more indications associated with the first station device. The device may cause to send the WUR wake-up frame to the first station device using a physical layer (PHY).

Management of near field communications using low power modes of an electronic device

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for managing near field communications during a low power management mode of an electronic device are provided that may make credentials of a near field communication (“NFC”) component appropriately secure and appropriately accessible while also limiting the power consumption of the NFC component and of other components of the electronic device.

An attendance tracking device for keeping a restroom cleaning log includes a radio-frequency, RF, module that periodically sends beacon signals and receives at least one response signal from a mobile device of a user. The tracking device further includes an electrophoretic display having a display controller and memory. The display controller executes a method that includes causing the RF module to periodically send beacon signals, detecting a received response signal from the mobile device, creating an attendance log including time stamp information regarding the presence of the mobile device, and triggering an update of the electrophoretic display to display the attendance log. A mobile device can be adapted to implement or be used in connection with the attendance tracking device. A system includes the attendance tracking device and the mobile device. Methods for operating the attendance tracking device and the mobile device are used to implement attendance tracking.

Dynamic memory reallocation and offload channel state information (CSI) processing for device power savings

Technologies directed to dynamic memory reallocation and offload channel state information (CSI) processing for device power savings are described. A method includes receiving, by a radio, first data from a processing device. The first data is sent to a second wireless device over a wireless channel. The method measures, by the radio, first CSI values that represent channel properties of the wireless channel. The method sends, by the radio, the first CSI values to the processing device with a first periodicity. The method receives, by the radio from the processing device, second data that specifies a transfer interval and an amount of memory to reserve in a memory buffer for second CSI values measured during the transfer interval. The method measures, by the radio, the second CSI values and sends the second CSI values to the processing device at the end of the transfer interval.

DISCONTINUOUS RECEPTION METHODOLOGY FOR MULTIMEDIA

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may set a hyper frame length based at least in part on a cadence of multimedia data bursts if discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle are configured for the cadence of the multimedia data bursts. The UE may receive the multimedia data bursts according to the DRX cycles. Numerous other aspects are described.

Uplink signaling for cooperative multipoint communication

A method of operating a wireless communication system is disclosed (FIG. 6). The method includes receiving a virtual cell identification (VCID) parameter (600) from a remote transmitter. A base sequence index (BSI) and a cyclic shift hopping (CSH) parameter (604,606) are determined in response to the VCID. A pseudo-random sequence is selected in response to the BSI and CSH (610,612). A reference signal is generated using the selected pseudo-random sequence (614).

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive one of a transmission profile, of an application executing on the UE, that indicates whether sidelink discontinuous reception (DRX) is required, or a sidelink communication that indicates whether sidelink DRX is supported. The UE may communicate with one or more other UEs in accordance with a configuration for sidelink DRX, or with sidelink DRX disabled, based at least in part on the transmission profile or the sidelink communication. Numerous other aspects are described.

Optimizing usage of power using switch off of cells

Disclosed is a method comprising obtaining historical data from a plurality of access nodes comprised in a network, determining, for at least one of the plurality of access nodes, a region comprising a set of values for threshold pairs that comprise minimum and maximum threshold pairs, determining, from the region, one threshold pair, wherein the threshold pair defines pre-determined thresholds for determining if a cell is to be switched on or switched off, providing the threshold pair to the network for deployment, and collecting data regarding at least one key performance indicator from the plurality of access nodes.

Wakeup signaling identification

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a signal indicating a wakeup opportunity associated with receiving one or more messages from an application and may identify a mapping between an attribute of the signal and an identifier associated with the application.
