TERMINAL AND TRANSMISSION METHOD
Provided is a terminal which can suitably transmit an uplink signal. In a terminal (100), a PC parameter control unit (104) sets a first power control parameter corresponding to a first service, when a prescribed condition relating to a control channel used for transmission of uplink signal allocation is met, and sets a second power control parameter corresponding to a second service, when the prescribed condition is not met. A transmission unit (109) transmits the uplink signal by using transmission power calculated by using the first power control parameter or the second power control parameter.
Terminal apparatus and communication method
Provided are a terminal apparatus and a communication method that are able to improve communication quality and an acquisition rate of transmission opportunity in a communication system requiring carrier sense. The terminal apparatus of the invention includes a reception unit that receives a frame and changes a CCA method on the basis of information included in the frame. The CCA method includes a method of setting a CCA level as a value other than a predetermined value of the CCA level. The reception unit has a function of performing carrier sense and a method of changing the CCA level includes a method of setting a period in which the carrier sense is performed as a value other than a value of a predetermined carrier sense period.

Uplink power control for distributed wireless communication
A method and apparatus for power control for distributed wireless communication is disclosed including one or more power control loops associated with a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU). Each power control loop may include open loop power control or closed loop power control. A multi-phase power control method is also disclosed with each phase representing a different time interval and a WTRU sends transmissions at different power levels to different set of node-Bs or relay stations during different phases to optimize communications.

EMF STRENGTH CONTROL METHOD AND COMMUNICATION APPARATUS
A network device obtains EMF strength of each grid in a first grid group. The first grid group includes M grids obtained by dividing a signal coverage area of the network device, and M is an integer greater than 1. The network device determines a second grid group based on EMF strength of the M grids. The second grid group includes at least a first grid and a second grid, a coverage area of the first grid is greater than that of the second grid, and EMF strength of the first grid is lower than EMF strength of the second grid. The network device monitors EMF strength of a coverage area of the second grid group based on the second grid group, to adjust the EMF strength of the coverage area of the second grid group.
BROADCAST SIGNAL TRANSMISSION/RECEPTION METHOD USING MULTIPLE ANTENNAS AND LAYERED-DIVISION MULTIPLEXING AND APPARATUS FOR THE SAME
Disclosed herein are a broadcast signal transmission/reception method using multiple antennas and layered-division multiplexing and an apparatus for the same. A broadcast signal transmission apparatus includes a Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) Bit-Interleaved Coded Modulation (BICM) unit for dividing enhanced layer data into two enhanced layer signals having different polarizations, a combination unit for generating a multiplexed signal corresponding to a first transmitting antenna by combining a core layer signal corresponding to core layer data with a first enhanced layer signal, and transmission signal generation units for generating a first transmission signal, corresponding to the multiplexed signal and transmitted through the first transmitting antenna, and a second transmission signal, corresponding to a second enhanced layer signal and transmitted through a second transmitting antenna.

Method and apparatus for providing very high throughput operation and capability signaling for wireless communications
A method and apparatus are disclosed for enabling very high throughput (VHT) communications. A wireless transmit and receive unit (WTRU) may receive, from an access point (AP), a management frame comprising VHT capabilities information. The VHT capabilities information may comprise an indication of support for reception via non-contiguous channels. The WTRU may transmit, on a condition that reception via non-contiguous channels is supported, at least one data packet, to the AP, via multiple non-contiguous channels. The multiple non-contiguous channels may be used simultaneously.
