TECHNIQUES FOR SHARING PROTOCOL DATA UNIT SESSIONS BETWEEN MULTIPLE SUBSCRIBER SERVICES
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may establish, via a first subscriber service, at least one protocol data unit (PDU) session. The UE may receive a first internet protocol (IP) address associated with the first subscriber service. The UE may register the first subscriber service with an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) network using the first IP address. The UE may register a second subscriber service with the IMS network using a second IP address, wherein the second subscriber service uses the at least one PDU session of the first subscriber service. Numerous other aspects are described.
Data transmission method, device, and network system
This application provides a data transmission method, a device, and a network system. The method is applied to a backbone device, and the backbone device is connected to at least two access devices. After obtaining first data that needs to be sent to a first user device, the backbone device determines a first tunnel interface identifier corresponding to the first user device. The first user device is a single-homing user device. The backbone device sends, based on the first tunnel interface identifier, a first data packet including the first data to a first access device of the at least two access devices. The first access device is configured with the first tunnel interface identifier. This can optimize a data forwarding path, implement traffic optimization for the single-homing user device, and reduce traffic pressure of the network system.
UE behavior when the device is attached for emergency service
This disclosure is related to a procedure of handling UE (100) behavior when the UE (100) is attached for emergency services. More specifically this disclosure defines the UE (100) behavior when the UE (100) is registered to a PLMN or two different PLMN via 3GPP access network and non-3GPP access network and UE (100) has is registered for emergency service over one of the 3GPP access network or non-3GPP access network.
MULTI-SIM DYNAMIC CAPABILITIES
Systems and methods are disclosed herein related simultaneous registration of wireless communication device having multiple Subscriber Identity Modules (SIMs) with two or more networks. In one embodiment, a method performed by a wireless communication device having multiple SIMs comprises registering with a first network associated with a first SIM and registering with a second network associated with a second SIM such that the wireless communication device is simultaneously registered with both the first network and the second network. The method further comprises providing, to a network node associated with the first network, capability information for the wireless communication device that indicates less than full capabilities of the wireless communication device. In this manner, the wireless communication device ensures that it will have sufficient resources to maintain simultaneous connections to both the first and second network.
METHOD, DEVICE AND COMPUTER STORAGE MEDIUM OF COMMUNICATION
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, devices and computer readable media for communication. A method of communication comprises determining, at a terminal device, whether first paging occasion information of a first paging overlaps with second paging occasion information of a second paging; and in response to the first paging occasion information overlapping with the second paging occasion information, transmitting an indication of paging collision between the first paging and the second paging to a network device associated with the first paging. In this way, the solving of the paging collision issue can be facilitated at RAN side, and low latency and high efficiency can be achieved.
RECOVERING SERVICE IN A RADIO ACCESS TECHNOLOGY (RAT) FOR A MULTI-MODE USER EQUIPMENT
Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing techniques for support recovering service in a radio access technology (RAT) for a multi-mode user equipment (UE). The UE can be registered to communicate in a first RAT, and the UE is in an idle mode, and the UE is in a disable mode with respect to communication in the second RAT. A cell selection for the second RAT can be performed. Afterwards, a registration procedure with a wireless communication system to communicate in the second RAT can be performed. Hence, the UE can receive wireless service from the wireless communication system through a base station associated with the second RAT.
COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OPERATING A COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Methods and devices provide for enhancements to the Steering of Roaming (SoR) provisioning during the registration procedure by introducing a new parameter generated by a user data management network function of the home network which indicates to roaming networks whether to request updated SoR information based on a registration type received in a registration request from a mobile terminal.
Adjust Paging Occasion to Resolve Paging Collision at a Multi-SIM Device
A user equipment (UE) includes a first subscriber identification module (SIM) and a second SIM. The UE is configured to establish a first cellular network connection based on, at least, the first SIM and a second cellular network connection based on, at least, the second SIM. The UE detects a collision between i) multiple paging occasions or ii) multiple paging frames. The UE then initiates a procedure for updating a paging occasion for the first cellular network connection. The UE monitors for a page over the first cellular network connection during the paging occasion.
Control Plane for Multi-SIM Devices
A user equipment (UE) includes a first subscriber identification module (SIM) and a second SIM. The UE is configured to establish a first cellular network connection based on, at least, the first SIM and a second cellular network connection based on, at least, the second SIM. The UE sends, by the first SIM, a first registration request to the network, wherein the first registration request comprises an identification indicating the multi-SIM device is a type of multi-SIM device, receives, by the first SIM, a first registration accept message indicating the first registration request has been accepted, wherein the first registration accept message comprises a first temporary identification for the first SIM and sends, by the second SIM, an access network message comprising one of the first temporary identification or a further temporary identification based on, at least, the first temporary identification.
UE handling in RAN
Techniques for generating and maintaining an identifier (112) of a user equipment (UE) (102) are presented. For instance, the disclosure presents an example method (200) executed by a radio access network (RAN) node for providing a UE (102) with an identifier (112). This example method (200) can include, for example, generating the identifier (112) for the UE (102), where the identifier (112) includes RAN node identity information, a timestamp indicating a time at which the identifier is generated by the RAN node (106), and/or integrity information from which the identifier (112) is verifiable. In addition, the example method (200) can include adding the identifier (112) to an information container (110) corresponding to the UE (102) and forwarding the information container (110) including the identifier (112) to a core network node (108). Related RAN node (106) and core network node (108) devices are also presented, as well as example computer programs, systems, and techniques for generating and maintaining an identifier (112) for a UE (102).
