System and method of multiple application functions influence in 5G networks
A system is disclosed in which a data network is associated with an application function (AF). When there is a change of data network access identifier (DNAI), a Session Management Function (SMF) sends a notification of a user plane management event to the application function (AF), and when a target data network is associated with another application function (target AF), the SMF also sends a notification of a user plane management event to the target AF.

Radio capability change
Apparatuses, methods, and systems are disclosed for modifying a radio capability. One apparatus includes a processor and a transceiver that communicates with a RAN node. The processor registers with a first communication system via the RAN node. The processor detects a trigger to perform radio capability change for at least one radio access technology (“RAT”) and transitions the apparatus to an idle state. The processor further sends a request to the first communication system to update one or more UE radio capabilities while in the idle state.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DEVICE MANAGEMENT TO RESTRICT HANDOVER AND ATTACH
Systems, methods, and process nodes for managing device connections in a telecommunications network perform and/or comprise: receiving a connection request from a wireless device at a first Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) of the telecommunications network; comparing a capability report of the wireless device to a predetermined criteria, wherein the predetermined criteria corresponds to whether the wireless device is compatible with the first PLMN; and in response to a determination that the capability report meets the predetermined criteria, denying the connection request.
METHOD FOR ADDING NON-3GPP LEG TO AN MA PDU SESSION WITH 3GPP PDN LEG
A method of handling multi-access (MA) Protocol data unit (PDU) session establishment procedure for an MA PDU session already established with a 3GPP PDN leg is proposed. In one novel aspect, for a 5GS MA PDU session already established on 3GPP access via an EPS PDN connection, upon receipt of a PDU SESSION ESTABLISHMENT ACCEPT message over non-3GPP access, the UE performs a local release of the MA PDU session if any value of at least one of the critical MA PDU session parameters, including the PDU session type, selected SSC mode, 5GSM cause, PDU address, S-NSSAI, and DNN IEs in the PDU SESSION ESTABLISHMENT ACCEPT message is different-from/un-sync/not-matched/not-compatible-with the corresponding stored value of the MA PDU session mapped from the (default EPS bearer of the) PDN connection. The UE also performs a REGISTRATION procedure over non-3GPP access and a TAU procedure over 3GPP access.

WIRELESS NETWORK AND METHOD TO HANDLE REJECTED NSSAI AREA IN WIRELESS NETWORK
The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate and to a method to handle rejected NSSAI area. The method includes receiving a NAS message indicating registration accept or registration reject with a reject cause. The reject cause indicating a S-NSSAI is not available in a subset of a current registration area where the reject cause is applied for a S-NSSAI. In an example, the method includes storing the rejected S-NSSAI in a rejected NSSAI for the subset of the current registration area. In another example, the method includes deleting a current registration area based on the subset of the current registration area where the reject cause is applied for the S-NSSAI. The UE considers a S-NSSAI part of the requested NSSAI as not applicable to current tracking area and S-NSSAI part of the requested NSSAI is allowed outside current tracking area.

Method and user equipment for managing failure in registration for accessing network slice
A method performed by a User Equipment (UE) for managing a failure in a registration for accessing a network slice, and the UE including processing circuitry configured to perform the method, are provided. The method includes sending a registration request message to a first wireless network while the UE is in a tracking area of a registration area, the registration request message including a Single Network Slice Selection Assistance Information (S-NSSAI) corresponding to the network slice, receiving a registration reject message from the first wireless network indicating that the network slice is unavailable, storing a Tracking Area Identifier (TAI) of the tracking area to a rejected list based on the TAI of the tracking area being included the registration reject message, and establishing a connection with a second wireless network in response to the receiving.
