METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ALTERING TRACKING AREA ON BASIS OF MOBILITY OF TERMINAL
Provided are a method by which an access and mobility function (AMF) in a wireless communication system selectively alters a tracking area set, and a device supporting the method. The method may comprise the steps of: receiving a plurality of tracking area sets from a base station; receiving, from the base station, information about the mobility of a terminal; and selecting any one tracking area set that corresponds to the received terminal mobility information.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR NOTIFYING MME OF UNSUCCESSFUL PAGING FOR TERMINAL
Provided are a method for notifying, by a base station, a mobility management entity (MME) of unsuccessful paging for a terminal in a wireless communication system, and an apparatus for supporting the same. The method may comprise the steps of: transmitting a paging message to the terminal; detecting that paging for the terminal is unsuccessful; and transmitting, to the MME, a paging failure indication indicating that the paging for the terminal is unsuccessful.
A WIRELESS DEVICE, A NETWORK NODE AND METHODS THEREIN FOR OPTIMIZING PAGING IN A COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK
A network node and a method therein for optimizing paging in a wireless communications network. A wireless device operates in the communications network. The network node configures the wireless device for transmission of an UL signal and with conditions for when the wireless device should transmit the UL signal. Further, the network node receives the UL signal from the wireless device and pages the wireless device using beamformed transmission, wherein the direction of the beamformed transmission is derived at least in part from the reception of the UL signal.
MME assisted system information update
It is provided a method, including monitoring if an information on an update of a system information of a first cell is received; checking if a terminal is registered as being served by at least one cell of a group of one or more cells including the first cell; checking if the terminal becomes reachable after being asleep; requesting to page the terminal by a paging message if the information on the update is received, the terminal is served by the at least one cell of the group, and the terminal becomes reachable, wherein the paging message includes an indication on the update.
Paging in Extended Coverage
Exemplary embodiments include methods for paging of a communication device in a coverage area served by a radio access network (RAN) node. Such embodiments include receiving, from a core network node, an indication of which of the following modes of operation are supported by the communication device: Extended-Coverage Global System for Mobile communications Internet of Things (EC-GSM-IoT) mode; and General Packet Radio Services (GPRS) and/or Enhanced GPRS (EGPRS) mode. Embodiments also include, based on the indication and on a capability of the coverage area to support said following modes of operation, determining at least one of the following: whether to page the communication device in the coverage area; and a channel for paging the communication device in the coverage area. Other embodiments include complementary methods performed by a core network node, as well as RAN nodes and core network nodes configured to perform any of the exemplary methods.
Registration management method for terminal accessing 5G network on non-3GPP access
A communication technique of fusing a fifth generation (5G) communication for supporting higher data transmission rate beyond a fourth generation (4G) system with an Internet of things (IoT) technology and a system thereof is provided. The technique may be applied to an intelligent service (smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail business, security and safety related service, or the like) based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT related technology. A method is provided for effectively managing a registration state for a terminal in a 5G core network such as an access and mobility management function (AMF) in a situation of accessing a 5G network via a non-3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) access.
Paging in extended coverage
A method performed by a radio access network node for paging of a communication device in a coverage area, served by the radio access network node, in a communications network, the method comprising: receiving (401) a page request from a core network node, wherein the page request comprises an indication of a support level of the communication device (140), which support level indicates whether or not the communication device (140) supports a specific mode of operation of a RAT; and determining (402), based on the indication of the support level of the communication device, and based on a capability of the coverage area to support the specific mode of operation of the RAT, a channel for paging the communication device in the coverage area, or not to page the communication device in the coverage area.
Wireless receiver and control method thereof
The present invention provides a wireless receiver and control method thereof capable of outputting a notification of an event that has occurred in a mobile terminal. To this end, a wireless receiver may comprise: an earphone; a sensing unit for detecting whether a user is wearing a wireless receiver; a short-range communication unit for communicating with a mobile terminal; and a control unit for, when an event has occurred in the mobile terminal and event occurrence notification information is received from the mobile terminal, controlling to output a feedback in response to the reception of the event occurrence notification information.
