PAGING EXTENSION FOR ENHANCED COVERAGE GLOBAL SYSTEM FOR MOBILE (EC-GSM)
A radio access network (RAN) node, a wireless device and various methods are described herein for managing paging bandwidth. In one embodiment, the RAN node transmits a message (e.g., paging message, assignment message) to wireless devices, where the message comprises at least the following: (i) a page mode field which includes information indicating one or more coverage classes for which one or more paging messages were available for transmission during a time interval but were not transmitted to a plurality of wireless devices; and (ii) a used_downlink_coverage class field which includes information indicating a coverage class associated with the transmitted message.
HIGH FREQUENCY WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM PAGING
Systems and methods of wireless communication of a paging signal are disclosed. According to some aspects of the disclosure, a sequence of a plurality of beam configurations may be selected for use in communicating a paging signal between a pair of wireless devices. Beam configurations can include beam configurations of different angular widths. Beam configurations may be iteratively used to attempt to successfully communicate the paging signal between the pair of wireless devices. Each iteration may use a beam configuration of a different angular width and/or a plurality of facing angles. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
Distributed paging in a cellular telecommunication system
In a cellular telecommunication system having multiple cells and respectively associated base stations, a user equipment (UE) is paged by sending a paging request to the base station that most recently communicated with the UE. This base station pages the UE and upon failing to receive a response forwards the paging request to its the base stations of neighboring cells Each of these base stations pages the UE and upon failing to receive a response similarly forwards the paging request to further base stations of neighboring cells. This process is repeated to repeatedly expand the paging area until the UE is located or until a forwarding limit has been reached.
ACCESS NETWORK NODE, CORE NETWORK NODE, AND PAGING METHOD
Embodiments of the present invention relate to the communications field and disclose an access network node, a core network node, and a paging method, for use in a paging process, so as to resolve a problem that a machine to machine (M2M) service cannot be normally used because a network side cannot determine whether a coverage enhancement technology needs to be used in a paging process. In an embodiment, a communications interface is configured to receive a first packet paging message sent by a core network node; a processor determines, according to the first packet paging message received by using the communications interface, that a terminal is an M2M terminal; and a transmitter sends a coverage-enhanced second packet paging message to the terminal.
Paging area control apparatus, paging area control method, transfer apparatus, mobile communication system, mobile station, and computer readable medium
A transfer node (310) receives downlink data addressed to a mobile station (100). A paging area control apparatus (300) determines a paging area of the mobile station (100) based on an attribute of the downlink data. A paging apparatus (200) sends a paging signal into the paging area determined by the paging area control apparatus (300), in order to page the mobile station (100). As a result, a technology for contributing to determining a proper paging area corresponding to downlink traffic is provided.

WIRELESS RECEIVER AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
The present invention provides a wireless receiver and control method thereof capable of outputting a notification of an event that has occurred in a mobile terminal. To this end, a wireless receiver may comprise: an earphone; a sensing unit for detecting whether a user is wearing a wireless receiver; a short-range communication unit for communicating with a mobile terminal; and a control unit for, when an event has occurred in the mobile terminal and event occurrence notification information is received from the mobile terminal, controlling to output a feedback in response to the reception of the event occurrence notification information.

REDUCING THE EFFECTS OF INTERFERENCE EXPERIENCED BY A COMMUNICATION DEVICE
Disclosed are methods for allowing a wireless communication device (or user equipment or UE) to receive signaling information when there is a power imbalance between a primary cell (Pcell) and a New Carrier Type (NCT) secondary cell (Scell). In one aspect, the UE reduces its downlink bandwidth to cover only a carrier of the Pcell, receives control signaling information, if present, and then increases its bandwidth to cover carriers of both the Pcell and Scell.
