NOTIFICATION CONTROL DEVICE, NOTIFICATION CONTROL SYSTEM, AND NOTIFICATION CONTROL METHOD
20210176086 · 2021-06-10 ·

A notification control system includes a controller configured to determine a notification execution device for executing a notification, and a storage unit configured to store electronic devices capable of executing the notification. The controller includes a notification data acquisition unit configured to acquire notification data related to the notification. When the notification data acquisition unit has acquired notification data, the controller determines a notification execution device from among the electronic devices stored in the storage unit based on a prescribed condition, and causes the determined notification execution device to execute the notification based on the notification data.

The present invention is directed to a method and an apparatus for use in a cellular communication system. Specifically, the present invention is directed to a method comprising: transmitting, to one of WLAN Terminations (WTs), a first indication to wake up WLAN module of the UE; if no response for the first indication is received from the one of WTs during a first time duration, transmitting, to all of the WTs, a second indication to wake up the WLAN module of the UE; and if no response for the second indication is received from any of the WTs during a second time duration, transmitting, to a mobility management entity (MME), a third indication related with absence of the UE, and an apparatus therefore.

A paging message transmission method, a base station, and user equipment are provided. The paging message transmission method includes determining indication information included in a first paging message, where the indication information is used to instruct user equipment UE to receive the first paging message and/or receive a second paging message, sending the first paging message including the indication information, where the first paging message is included in a first transport block, and sending the second paging message if the indication information instructs the user equipment to receive the second paging message, where the second paging message is included in a second transport block, and the second transport block and the first transport block are different transport blocks that are separately transmitted.

Adaptive paging techniques for extended coverage-capable devices

Adaptive paging techniques for EC-capable devices are described. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus may comprise at least one memory and logic for an evolved node B (eNB), at least a portion of the logic comprised in hardware coupled to the at least one memory, the logic to receive an S1 paging message comprising a user equipment (UE) identifier (ID) associated with a UE and an extended coverage (EC) capability indicator indicating that the UE is EC-capable and page the UE using an EC paging sequence based on receipt of the S1 paging message, the EC paging sequence to comprise a series of transmissions of a radio resource control (RRC) paging message, the logic to truncate the EC paging sequence based on a determination that the UE has responded to RRC paging. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Paging carrier assignment for narrowband radio communication system

The invention proposes a user equipment, UE, configuring a paging carrier, wherein the UE performs the steps of monitoring a first paging carrier for paging messages, receiving a message from a network node, the message comprising paging carrier information indicating a second paging carrier selected by the network node or a further network node, wherein the second paging carrier is different from the first paging carrier, and in response to receiving the message, monitoring the second paging carrier for paging messages; further the invention proposes corresponding network nodes; further the invention proposes corresponding methods for the UE and the network nodes.

System and method of operating a communication device to provide location information within status notification messages

A process for operating a communication device to provide location information within status notification messages. The communication device detects a status notification event and responsively retrieves, from a memory, a last known location of the communication device and a timestamp of the last known location. The communication device generates a status notification message including a status code corresponding to a detected status of a user of the communication device, the last known location of the communication device, the timestamp of the last known location, and a unique identifier identifying the status notification message. The status notification message is then transmitted from the communication device to at least one other communication device or a status notification server.
