PAGING COLLISION PROCESSING METHOD AND RELATED APPARATUS
20220322286 · 2022-10-06 ·

Embodiments of this application disclose a paging collision processing method and a related apparatus. The method includes: When a terminal device detects that a paging occasion of the terminal device in a first camped cell collides with a paging occasion of the terminal device in a second camped cell, the terminal device may determine a first paging parameter, and may send first information including the first paging parameter to a first network device corresponding to the first camped cell. The first network device sends second information including a second paging parameter to the terminal device. The terminal device determines a second paging occasion of a first identity module card of the terminal device in the first camped cell based on the second paging parameter in the received second information. The terminal device monitors a paging message in the first camped cell on the second paging occasion. The second paging occasion does not overlap a third paging occasion of a second identity module card of the terminal device in the second camped cell in terms of time. According to embodiments of this application, a paging collision that occurs when the terminal device monitors the paging message can be avoided.

COMMUNICATION METHOD BETWEEN CORE NETWORK DEVICE AND TERMINAL IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
20220386390 · 2022-12-01 ·

Embodiments of the present application provide a communication method, comprising: receiving, b a first access network device from a core network device, signaling destined for a terminal, wherein the terminal is in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive mode; sending a first paging message to a second access network device for paging the terminal, wherein the first access network device and the second access network device are in same paging area; and receiving, from the second access network device, first indication information indicating that the terminal has connected to the second access network device. In the embodiments of the present application, after receiving the signaling destined for the terminal from the core network device, the first access network device can learn the terminal has connected to the second access network device, and therefore performs proper subsequent processing.

Coordinated Notifications

A device may broadcast an indication of an activity level of the device. The device may also receive a notification of an incoming message and receive at least one broadcast from at least one additional device also receiving the notification of the incoming message including an indication of at least one activity level of the at least one additional device. The device may compare its own activity level with the received at least one activity level. In response to determining that the activity level of the device is equal to or greater than a highest received at least one activity level, the device may display the notification of the incoming message.

Feedback based adaptation of multicast transmission offset

A node (260) of a cellular network node sends data units to a group of base stations (200). Each data unit is configured for conveying multicast data to be sent by the base stations (200) in a synchronized manner at a starting time indicated in the data unit. For each of the data units, the node (260) determines the starting time as the sum of the time of sending the data unit from the node and an offset value. Further, the node (260) obtains feedback information from the base stations (200) of the group. The feedback information indicates a deviation of the starting time indicated in one of the data units (411) from an earliest possible time of sending the multicast data from the data unit (411) by the base stations (200) of the group. Depending on the feedback information, the node (260) adapts the offset value.

Communication method and communications device

A communication method and a communications device are provided. In the method, a first base station receives a first message; the first base station determines, based on the first message, whether to allocate a new RNA to a terminal in an inactive state; and the first base station allocates a new RNA to the terminal in the inactive state after determining to allocate a new RNA to the terminal in the inactive state, so as to reduce signaling overheads; and/or the first base station receives a second message; the first base station determines a communication status of the terminal in the inactive state based on the second message; and after determining that the terminal needs to change the communication status, the first base station controls the terminal to change the communication status.

Method and device for implementing paging monitoring, base station and user equipment

Method, device, base station and user equipment for implementing paging monitoring are described. At a base station side, the method includes: grouping a user equipment in a cell controlled by the base station, and allocating a group identifier to each group; for each user equipment, transmitting the group identifier corresponding to the user equipment and a paging indicator monitoring occasion to the user equipment; transmitting a paging indicator to the user equipment currently required to be paged or scheduled. At a user equipment side, the method includes: receiving a group identifier and a paging indicator monitoring occasion transmitted from a base station; monitoring a paging indicator at the paging indicator monitoring occasion; starting to monitor paging control information, when it is monitored that the paging indicator contains the group identifier.

This document describes techniques and apparatuses for a user-equipment-coordination set for disengaged mode. In aspects, a base station forms a disengaged-mode-user-equipment coordination set including multiple user equipment operating in a disengaged mode. The disengaged-mode-user-equipment coordination set uses joint transmission and reception to communicate with the base station. The base station communicates control-plane information to an individual user equipment or multiple user equipment in the disengaged-mode-user-equipment coordination set.
