Method and apparatus for performing random access transmissions
A method and a wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) are disclosed. The WTRU comprises a receiver, a transmitter, and a processor. The WTRU receives a system information block (SIB) including a parameter indicating a number of transmissions for a random access message and a parameter indicating transmission duration information for the random access message. The WTRU transmits a random access preamble and a random access message, wherein the random access message is transmitted for a duration indicated by the parameter indicating transmission duration information for the random access message. The WTRU retransmits the random access message, wherein the random access message is retransmitted a number of times indicated by the parameter indicating the number of transmissions for the random access message and for the duration indicated by the parameter indicating transmission duration information for the random access message.

Provided are a method, device and storage medium for configuring a starting symbol position of an uplink data channel. The method includes: determining a configuration value of a first type parameter set, where the first type parameter set is a set of uplink data parameters; determining a configuration range of a starting symbol position of an uplink data channel according to the configuration value of the first type parameter set; and selecting a starting symbol position of the uplink data channel from the configuration range of the starting symbol position of the uplink data channel, and notifying a receiving end of the selected starting symbol position of the uplink data channel.
Method and apparatus for lightweight messaging during initial synchronization, discovery, and association in directional wireless systems
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives a discovery signal transmitted from a connection point (CP) via a directional beam. The discovery signal may include first information (including beam sweep configuration information) related to the CP. The apparatus then transmits an association signal to the CP based on the beam sweep configuration information and monitors for a resource grant from the CP based on the transmitted association signal. Alternatively, the apparatus transmits a discovery signal via a directional beam to a user equipment (UE). The discovery signal may include first information (including beam sweep configuration information) related to the apparatus. The apparatus then receives an association signal from the UE based on the beam sweep configuration information and determines a resource grant for communicating with the UE based on the received association signal.

This application discloses a communication method and apparatus. A terminal device determines a frequency position of a random access resource based on at least one of an initial frequency offset, a random access resource configuration period, an uplink channel bandwidth, a bandwidth of the random access resource, a time period of a random access resource, a time period of the random access resource, and a frequency index of the random access resource that are configured by a network device, and the terminal device sends a random access signal to the network device at the determined frequency position.

Listen-before-talk reporting for sidelink channels

Device communication using a reduced channel bandwidth
Systems and/or methods for supporting communications at a reduced bandwidth with a full bandwidth network such as a long-term evolution (LTE) network may be disclosed. For example, inband assignments such as downlink assignments and/or uplink grants may be provided and/or received and transmissions may be monitored and/or decoded based on the inband assignment. Additionally, information (e.g. a definition or configuration) associated with an ePDCCH may be provided and/or received and ePDCCH resources may be monitored and/or decoded based on such information. An indication for support of a reduced bandwidth by the full bandwidth network may also be provided and/or received and control channels in the reduced or narrow bandwidth may be monitored and/or decoded based on the indication. A PRACH preamble and/or a multi-type subframe definition may also be provided and/or used for support of such a reduced bandwidth.
