Configuring unicast and broadcast communications for different radio access technologies

The disclosure relates to methods, devices, and systems for wireless communications. A wireless communications system may support unicast and broadcast communications for different radio access technologies (RATs). To support the coexistence of different RATs, a user equipment (UE) may report, to a base station, a UE capability message containing a band combination including one or more bands for a first RAT (for example, New Radio (NR)) and one or more bands for a second RAT (for example, Long Term Evolution (LTE)) and an indication of a baseband budget for the second RAT for the band combination. In some implementations, the UE may transmit a broadcast interest indicator to the base station requesting a broadcast service. The base station may configure the UE with a carrier aggregation (CA) configuration based on the UE capabilities, such as the band combination and corresponding baseband budget for the second RAT, and the interest indicator.

Distributed data stream programming and processing

Techniques are described herein for distributed data stream programming and processing. The techniques include sending a request indicating one or more regions of a program code to access a stream in a stream pool and to execute on a processing node in a processing nodes pool. The techniques also include accessing the stream defined in the one or more regions of the program code to service the request. Thereafter, the processing node is selected to use for execution of the one or more regions of the program code and the processing node executes one or more instances of the one or more regions of the program code.

Hybrid Automatic Repeat Request (HARQ) Mechanism for Multicast in NR

Embodiments include methods, performed by a user equipment (UE), for hybrid ARQ (HARQ) feedback in relation to multicast transmissions from a network node in a radio access network (RAN). Such methods include receiving, from the network node, first downlink control information (DCI) scheduling a first multicast transmission associated with the UE and determining a HARQ feedback mode for the first multicast transmission. Such methods also include, based on the first DCI, attempting to decode the first multicast transmission; and selectively transmitting HARQ feedback related to the first multicast transmission to the network node based on the determined HARQ feedback mode and on whether the attempt to decode is successful or unsuccessful. Embodiments also include complementary methods for a network node, as well as UEs and network nodes configured to perform such methods.

MULTICAST OR BROADCAST SESSION ESTABLISHMENT AND MANAGEMENT
20230017217 · 2023-01-19 ·

Methods, apparatus, and systems for providing flexible multicast or broadcast session establishment and management are disclosed. In one example aspect, a wireless communication method is disclosed. The method includes receiving, by a broadcast and multicast or broadcast service center function, a request for establishing a multicast or broadcast session for an application function. The request comprises information indicating a target area for a multicast or broadcast service associated with the multicast or broadcast session. The method also includes determining, by the broadcast and multicast or broadcast service center function, at least one access and mobility management function based on the information; and transmitting, by the broadcast and multicast or broadcast service center function, a session trigger message to the at least one access and mobility management function to allow the at least one access and mobility management function to initiate an establishment of the multicast or broadcast session.

SERVICE RECEIVING METHOD AND SERVICE CONFIGURATION METHOD, TERMINAL, AND NETWORK-SIDE DEVICE
20230014481 · 2023-01-19 · ·

A service receiving method, a service configuration method, a terminal, and a network-side device are provided. The service receiving method is performed by the terminal, including: receiving configuration information about a frequency range in which at least one first service is located; and in a case that a target first service in the at least one first service needs to be received, receiving the target first service in a current operating frequency range or by switching from the current operating frequency range to a frequency range in which the target first service is located.

MULTICAST BROADCAST SERVICE TRANSMISSION METHOD, MULTICAST BROADCAST SERVICE TRANSMISSION INDICATION METHOD, AND DEVICE

A Multicast Broadcast Service (MBS) transmission method, an MBS transmission indication method, and a device are provided. The MBS transmission method includes: receiving first information from a network side; receiving an MBS or second information based on the first information, where the second information includes information about sending control of the MBS;

and the first information is used to indicate one or more of the following: information about a sending frequency of the MBS; and information about a sending frequency of the second information.

Multicast communications for radio resource control modes

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, otherwise known as a user equipment (UE) may receive signaling indicating a set of multicast configurations for a set of multicast modes supported by the UE. Each multicast mode of the set of multicast modes may be associated with one or more radio resource control (RRC) states. The UE may determine a multicast configuration of the set of multicast configurations based on an RRC state according to which the UE is operating. The UE may receive, while operating according to the RRC state, multicast data according to the determined multicast configuration.

Priority handling for prose communications

Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are disclosed for priority handling for ProSe Communications. A relay wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may act as a relay between the network and the remote WTRU. The relay WTRU may receive a temporary mobile group identity (TMGI) request message from a remote WTRU. The TMGI request message may include a TMGI, a ProSe per packet priority level associated with the TMGI, etc. The relay WTRU may receive an evolved multimedia broadcast multicast service (eMBMS) data packet from a network. The eMBMS may be associated with the TMGI. The relay WTRU may apply the received ProSe per packet priority level associated with the TMGI to the received eMBMS data packet. The relay WTRU may relay the eMBMS data packet to the remote WTRU based on the ProSe per packet priority level. The relay WTRU may forward the eMBMS data packet to the remote WTRU via a PC5 interface.

Indication method, detection method, and related device

Implementations of the present disclosure provide an indication method, a detection method, and a related device. In the present disclosure, a network device indicates to user equipment, within what frequency domain ranges there is no SSB transmission, thereby preventing the user equipment from performing useless searches in the frequency domain ranges in which there is no SSB.
