Embodiments disclose an uplink data transmission method and apparatus. The method includes: determining M transmission areas allocated to a terminal device, and generating first information used to indicate the M transmission areas, where M is a positive integer, and the transmission area represents an air interface time-frequency resource that includes a time range and a frequency range that are specified by a communications system. The method also includes determining, for each transmission area of the M transmission areas, second information used to indicate a transport block size. The method also includes sending an indication message to the terminal device, so that the terminal device transmits uplink data according to the indication message, where the indication message includes the first information and the second information.

On-demand multicast control channel messages

Methods, systems, and devices for on-demand multicast control channel (MCCH) messages are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, system information indicating an MCCH message configuration. Based on receiving the MCCH message configuration, the UE may transmit a request for an MCCH message. For example, the UE may transmit the request for the MCCH message by a random access preamble or a radio resource control (RRC) message. After transmitting the request, the UE may receive the MCCH message in accordance with the MCCH message configuration. That is, the base station may receive the request and transmit the MCCH message in response to the request. The MCCH message may indicate a multicast service radio bearer (MRB) configuration for receiving multicast traffic. Thus, the UE may receive multicast traffic from the base station in accordance with the MRB configuration.

A system and method for collaborative broadcasting and bi-directional network transmission. Such a system may comprise a broadcast transmission source that uses a one-to-many broadcasting method, a bi-directional network that uses a one-to-one broadcasting method, and a receiver apparatus configured to receive broadcasts from the broadcast transmission source and communicate with the bi-directional network. When the receiver apparatus receives a broadcast from the broadcast transmission source, and when the broadcast is partially damaged or missing, the receiver apparatus is configured to communicate with the bi-directional network and request the damaged or missing data.

Base station for indication of synchronization signal block

Disclosed is a method and apparatus for generating information indicating a synchronization signal (SS) block. A method comprises: determining a frequency resource associated with a wireless device; determining, by a base station and based on the determined frequency resource, whether to add or omit a first bitmap indicating a plurality of groups in which at least one synchronization signal (SS) block is transmitted: generating, based on the determining to add the first bitmap, system information comprising a parameter comprising: the first bitmap; and a second bitmap indicating a position of one or more transmission SS blocks in each of the plurality of groups; and transmitting, based on the position, the one or more transmission SS blocks each comprising a Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH) and a synchronization signal.
