Contention window adjustment for group channel occupancy time sharing

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine an adjusted contention window size for a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure that increases channel access time fairness between a plurality of different groups of UEs. The UE may determine, via the LBT procedure, that a channel is idle based at least in part on the adjusted contention window size. The UE may transmit, to other UEs in a group of UEs that includes the UE, control information that enables a group channel occupancy time (COT) associated with the channel to be shared with the other UEs in the group of UEs. Numerous other aspects are described.

Communication method and user equipment of performing bandwidth part switching between a non-dormant bandwidth part and a dormant bandwidth part

A communication method of performing Bandwidth Part (BWP) switching between a non-dormant BWP and a dormant BWP is provided. The communication method is performed by a UE configured by a Base Station (BS) with a serving cell and a dormancy group to which the serving cell belongs. The communication method includes activating the non-dormant BWP as an activated BWP for the serving cell; initializing a first Random Access (RA) procedure on the serving cell; receiving, from the BS, one of a first indication for BWP switching for the serving cell and a second indication for BWP switching for the dormancy group while the first RA procedure is ongoing; switching the activated BWP for the serving cell, based on one of the first indication and the second indication, from the non-dormant BWP to the dormant BWP; and stopping the first RA procedure after receiving one of the first indication and the second indication.

Communication apparatus and method of communication

A communication apparatus includes an acquisition unit (551) acquiring information from a base station apparatus, a determination unit (552) determining whether a connected base station apparatus is a non-ground station or a ground station based on the acquired information, and a communication controller (553) executing communication control for the non-ground station when it is determined that the connected base station apparatus is the non-ground station.

Listen-before-talk beam overlap measurement procedures

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device, such as a base station or a user equipment, may identify an energy detection threshold for a sensing beam associated with a channel access procedure, such as a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure. The wireless device may also identify a set of transmit power parameters for one or more transmit beams. The wireless device may determine a degree of overlap between a coverage area of one or more transmit beams and a coverage area of the sensing beam. The wireless device may adjust the set of transmit power parameters, the energy detection threshold, or a combination thereof based on the degree of overlap. The wireless device may perform the channel access procedure based on the determining, the adjusting, or both.

Configuring hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) soft combining for a subset of HARQ processes

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for configuring hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) soft combining for a subset of HARQ processes supported by a user equipment (UE). A method performed by the UE generally includes transmitting capability information indicating a capability of the UE to perform hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) soft combining and receiving, based on the capability information, configuration information from the BS configuring the UE to perform soft combining on only a subset of a set of HARQ processes.

Systems and methods for transmission of uplink control information over multiple carriers in unlicensed spectrum
11582077 · 2023-02-14 · ·

Wireless communication between a user equipment (UE) and a base station may occur on unlicensed spectrum. When wirelessly communicating on unlicensed spectrum, there is an expectation that there may be interference from others devices also transmitting on the same resources in the unlicensed spectrum. Systems and methods are therefore disclosed that aim to facilitate wireless communication in unlicensed spectrum. In some embodiments, systems and method are disclosed that are directed to the transmission of uplink control information (UCI) in unlicensed spectrum. The UCI may be or include hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback. The HARQ feedback may correspond to a downlink data transmission that was also sent on unlicensed spectrum.

Method and apparatus for random access in wireless communication system and user terminal
11582811 · 2023-02-14 · ·

The present disclosure provides a method and an apparatus for random access in a wireless communication system, as well as a user terminal. The method includes: receiving indication information transmitted from a radio base station, the indication information instructing a user terminal to initiate a random access; determining a target Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) resource from available resources based on a current coverage level and resource information carried in the indication information, the target PRACH resource being used for transmitting a PRACH signal for initiating the random access; and re-determining, in response to a failure to initiate the random access over the target PRACH resource, the target PRACH resource from the available resources based on an updated coverage level and the resource information, and transmitting the PRACH signal over the re-determined target PRACH resource. The present disclosure can solve the technical problem in the related art associated with low success rate of random accesses initiated by radio base stations.

Listen-before-talk (LBT) failure detection in dormant cell and outside discontinuous reception (DRX) active time
11582796 · 2023-02-14 · ·

Wireless communications systems and methods related to communications in a network are provided. A UE receives a listen-before-talk (LBT) failure detection configuration associated with at least one of a dormant mode or a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle in a first cell of a wireless communication network. The UE performs, based on the LBT failure detection configuration, an LBT failure detection in the first cell while operating in the dormant mode for the first cell or during an inactive DRX configured-on duration of the DRX cycle. The UE transmits an LBT failure detection report based on the LBT failure detection.
