TECHNIQUES FOR UE POSITIONING MEASUREMENT IN RRC_INACTIVE OR RRC_IDLE
20230163916 · 2023-05-25 ·

Various embodiments herein provide techniques for positioning measurements in a wireless cellular network when a user equipment (UE) is in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state or a RRC idle state. For example, the UE may transmit a sounding reference signal (SRS) for positioning measurements while the UE is in the RRC inactive state or RRC idle state. The SRS may be a semi-persistent SRS and may be transmitted after an activation delay from receipt of a message (e.g., medium access control (MAC) control element (CE)) that activates the SRS. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may perform a positioning reference signal (PRS) measurement while in the RRC inactive state or the RRC idle state. The PRS measurement may have a reduced number of measurement samples. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

REUSE OF DATA SPS DCI IN EH SPS DCI

Aspects present herein relate to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. The apparatus may receive, from a base station, DCI associated with SPS. The apparatus may also identify whether the DCI is EH SPS activation DCI, EH SPS reactivation DCI, data SPS activation DCI, data SPS reactivation DCI, or SPS release DCI, the EH SPS activation DCI and the EH SPS reactivation DCI corresponding to an EH configuration, the data SPS activation DCI and the data SPS reactivation DCI corresponding to a data processing configuration. Additionally, the apparatus may configure an EH component associated with the EH configuration if the DCI is the EH SPS activation DCI or the EH SPS reactivation DCI, or performing data processing associated with the data processing configuration if the DCI is the data SPS activation DCI or the data SPS reactivation DCI.

INTER-USER EQUIPMENT (UE) COORDINATION INFORMATION FOR NEW RADIO (NR) SIDELINK COMMUNICATION

Various embodiments herein provide techniques for sending and receiving inter-user equipment (UE) coordination information for sidelink communication. The inter-UE coordination information may be provided via sidelink control information (SCI) and/or medium access control-control element (MAC-CE). Aspects regarding resource reservation and/or indication for UE coordination information are described. Additionally, new SCI formats for inter-UE coordination information are provided. Other embodiments may be described and claimed.

Scheduling of a data transmission

A method of scheduling data transmission of a group of wireless devices, in a wireless communication network, comprising: determining a relative transmission timing relation between a reference wireless device out of the group of wireless devices and at least one wireless device out of the group of wireless devices; and scheduling the data transmission of the at least one wireless devices based on the indicated relative transmission timing relation in response to a scheduling request.

TECHNIQUES FOR INDIVIDUAL BEAM FAILURE DETECTION
20230066874 · 2023-03-02 ·

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, control signaling indicating an activation of a beam failure detection (BFD) procedure for detecting beam failure on a per-beam basis for a set of beams. The UE may receive control signaling indicating BFD parameters for each beam to use in accordance with the BFD procedure. The UE may monitor for a set of reference signals via the set of beams and maintain, at a medium access control (MAC) layer, a separate beam failure indication (BFI) counter and a BFD timer for each beam. The MAC layer may receive the BFIs from a physical layer at the UE such that if the BFI counter for a beam satisfies a configured BFI threshold count before a configured BFD timing duration, the UE may transmit a beam failure recovery request to the base station for the beam.
