HARQ TRANSMISSIONS FOR CONFIGURED GRANTS
A method and apparatus for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) transmissions for configured grants (CGs) in a wireless communication system is provided. A first wireless device receives a retransmission resource for a HARQ process identifier (ID) for a CG. When a number of transmissions of a media access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU) does not reach to a maximum number of transmissions, the first wireless device performs retransmission of the MAC PDU to a second wireless device by using the retransmission resource. When the number of transmissions of the MAC PDU reaches to the maximum number of transmissions, the first wireless device flushes a HARQ buffer in a sidelink process.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, radio resource control signaling configuring an uplink transmission configuration indication (TCI) state pool that includes multiple candidate uplink TCI states associated with an uplink resource. The base station may transmit, and the UE may receive, downlink signaling that identifies, among the multiple candidate uplink TCI states included in the uplink TCI state pool, an uplink TCI state to be used to transmit an uplink communication on the uplink resource. Accordingly, the UE may transmit, to the base station, the uplink communication on the uplink resource using an uplink transmit beam based at least in part on the uplink TCI state identified in the downlink signaling. CONTROL MESSAGING FOR MULTI-BEAM COMMUNICATIONS
Some aspects include an apparatus, method, and computer program product for facilitating control messaging for multi-beam communications in 5G wireless communication systems. Nodes of a 5G network may be generate Medium Access Control Control Elements (MAC CEs) to update User Equipment (UE) with different Component Carrier (CC) settings. The MAC CEs may update a list of CCs to reduce messaging overhead and latency. For example, a MAC CE may indicate an update for a Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) state for a list of CCs. Similarly, a MAC CE may be used to update a spatial relation for a Sounding Reference Signal (SRS) resource set and/or a SRS resource corresponding to a list of CCs. A MAC CE may also be used to update multiple TCI codepoints having one or two TCI states in a multi-Transmission Reception Point (multi-TRP) scenario.
