SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INTELLIGENT DIFFERENTIATED RETRANSMISSIONS
Systems and methods described herein provide for intelligent differentiated retransmissions in Radio Access Networks (RANs), such as Fifth Generation New Radio (5G-NR) networks, to provide consistent low latency for different service requirements. A network device determines if consistent low latency is required for a communication session requested by a user equipment (UE) device. The network device selects, based on the determining, retransmission settings for the communication session and sends the retransmission settings to an access station of a radio access network (RAN).

Methods and apparatuses for a beam indication and a beam update for an inter-cell operation in a wireless communication system. A method for operating user equipment (UE) includes receiving a first downlink control information (DCI) including a first transmission configuration indicator (TCI) codepoint indicating a first TCI states and a second DCI indicating a second TCI codepoint indicating second TCI states. The method further includes determining, based on the first TCI states, first quasi co-location (QCL) information for receipt of a first physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH), or channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) and determining, based on the second TCI states DCI, second QCL information for receipt of a second PDCCH, PDSCH, or CSI-RS. The method further includes receiving the first PDCCH, PDSCH, or CSI-RS based on the first QCL information and the second PDCCH, PDSCH, or CSI-RS based on the second QCL information.
FULL DUPLEX TCI INDICATION UNDER UNIFIED TCI FRAMEWORK
A user equipment may be configured to implement full duplex transmission configuration indication (TCI) in a unified TCI framework. In some aspects, the user equipment may receive, from a base station, a plurality of TCI states, the plurality of TCI states including a full duplex TCI state corresponding to at least two channels for a first transmission link type and at least one channel for a second transmission link type. The method comprises signaling the tag from the first layer to another layer. The method comprises mapping, at the another layer, the associated data packet to a logical channel based on the one or more parameters indicated by the tag, and selecting one or more resources for transmission of the associated data packet based on the mapping of the associated data packet to the logical channel.
