Method and a network structure for providing device connectivity to a radio access network

A method for providing device connectivity to a radio access network, wherein at least two devices are connectable or connected to the radio access network and wherein the at least two devices are members of a group of devices within a wireless local network, the members of the group of devices having the capability to establish a direct connection with other members of the group of devices, includes providing connection information used for a connection between a first device of the at least two devices and the radio access network to a second device of the at least two devices. The connection information enables the second device to connect to the radio access network.

An apparatus and method are provided. The method includes receiving, at an electronic device including a first processor and a second processor, using the first processor, a connection request via a network, and refraining from transmitting the connection request from the first processor to the second processor based at least in part on a determination that the second processor is in a sleep state, and that the connection request is associated with data set as unallowable by the second processor.

Control method and device based on multiple priorities in wireless communication system

A wireless communication system is disclosed. More particularly, a control method and device based on multiple priorities in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method of controlling a back-off timer in a terminal configured with multiple priorities, which includes transmitting a first non-access stratum (NAS) request message set to a first priority level, starting the back-off timer configured by a network, and transmitting a second NAS request message, which is not set to the first priority level, while the back-off timer runs.

Intermediate Networking Devices

A wireless communication device comprising: one or more network modems enabling the wireless communication device to communicate over a first wireless network; one or more network modems enabling the wireless communication device to communicate with two or more end-point devices over a second wireless network; one or more processors configured to execute one or more instructions; and memory coupled to the one or more processors and configured to provide the one or more processors with the one or more instructions. The one or more instructions, when executed by the processors, cause processors to: establish a first connection between the wireless communication device and a first end-point device; establish a second connection between the wireless communication device and a second end-point device; apply a first control to traffic transmitted by or to the first end-point device; and apply a second control to traffic transmitted by or to the second end-point device.

A position information distribution server includes: a communication unit that is provided outside a core network and receives identification information of a cellular phone and position information of the cellular phone from base transceiver stations, switching centers, VLRs, or an HLR; and a recording unit that records a first table including information to specify a server transmitting the position information among position information provision servers, for each identification information of the cellular phone. The position information provision servers are servers that provide position information services for transmitting the position information transmitted from the position information distribution server to information terminals. When the communication unit receives the identification information and the position information of the cellular phone, the communication unit transmits the identification information and the position information of the cellular phone to a server shown in the first table among the position information provision servers.

Network stack virtualization

Embodiments contemplate network stack virtualization which may be virtualization of a portion of the communication stack, such as the protocol stack, in some embodiments, multiple functionally of independent copies of the protocol stack may be simultaneously running on the terminal and/or serving the needs of different applications. This may allow independent operation from the application point of view, including connectivity to different networks with different identities. Embodiments contemplate that any number of such virtual network stacks can be instantiated, perhaps in some embodiments depending on the characteristics of an active application. Embodiments also contemplate the presentation of multiple allocated internet protocol (IP) addresses that may have sufficient information to enable an intelligent source IP address selection on the WTRU. The WTRU may be able to select an optimum IP address, perhaps in some embodiments depending on which application may be started.

METHOD FOR ACCESSING NETWORK BY NETWORK NODE, AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

A first network node having gained access to a preset network receives a probe message broadcast by a second network node seeking access to the preset network. The probe message carries a second Internet Protocol (IP) address of the second network node. If the probe message includes a configuration mechanism identifier, the first network node unicasts a reply message of the probe message to the second network node based on the second IP address. The reply message carries a first IP address of the first network node. The first IP address is configured for establishing a network communication channel between the second network node and the first network node. The first network node sends network configuration information to the second network node through the network communication channel. The network configuration information is configured to allow the second network node to access the preset network.

Communication control method, user terminal, and processor

A communication control method is a method for performing offload to transfer a traffic load of a cellular base station to an access point. The communication control method comprises a step of maintaining without releasing the first connection, by a user terminal that have established a first connection with the cellular base station, even when the offload is started after establishing a second connection with the access point; and a determining step of determining, by the user terminal, whether the offload is continued or canceled after the offload is started.
