Method and apparatus for high-resolution CSI reporting in advanced wireless communication systems

Method and apparatus for high-resolution channel state information (CSI) reporting in advanced wireless communication systems. A method of operating a user equipment (UE) includes selecting, from a full basis set comprising N bases for a plurality of v layers, an intermediate basis set comprising N′ bases that are common among the plurality of v layers and selecting, from the selected intermediate basis set, a basis subset comprising M.sub.l bases for each layer l of the plurality of v layers. The method further includes transmitting, to a base station (BS), indices of the N′ bases included in the selected intermediate basis set and indices of the M.sub.l bases included in the selected basis subsets. N, N′, and M.sub.l are positive integers; N′<N; M.sub.l<N′; l∈{0, 1 . . . , v−1}; and v is a rank value.

Cell resource status information

A first base station receives resource information from one or more wireless devices. The first base station determines, based on the resource information, combined resource information associated with a first cell. The combined resource information comprises a combined channel busy ratio of a sidelink resource pool. The first base station sends, to a second base station, an information message comprising the combined resource information. The first base station receives, from the second base station, a request message requesting a resource configuration of the first cell for a wireless device. The request message is based on the information message.

Method and apparatus for port selection in wireless communication systems

A method for operating a user equipment (UE) comprises receiving configuration information for a CSI report. The configuration information includes information to: configure a codebook and parameters for the codebook, the codebook comprising a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) indicating a set of components S to represent N.sub.3 precoding matrices, where N.sub.3≥1; and partition the PMI into two subsets, a first PMI subset indicating a first subset of components S1 from the set of components S, and a second PMI subset indicating a second subset of components S2 from the set of components S different from the first subset of components S1. The method further comprises determining the CSI report based on the configuration information, the CSI report including the second PMI subset indicating the second subset of components S2, and transmitting the determined CSI report over an uplink (UL) channel.

DETERMINING AND COMMUICATING CONTROL INFORMATION IN WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORKS

A user equipment (UE) may include one or more processors that are configured to cause UE capability information to be communicated to a radio access network (RAN) node, regarding a maximum number of blind decode attempts (BDAs) supported by the UE. The one or more processors are configured to determine, based on the maximum BDAs, shortened channel control elements (sCCEs) to be used, by the RAN node, to transmit shortened downlink control information (sDCI) via a shortened physical downlink control channel (sPDCCH) and obtain sDCI by monitoring the sPDCCH in accordance with the determined sCCEs.

COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

Provided is a high-speed communication system with the high reliability and the low latency under New Radio (NR). A base station device includes a plurality of distributed units (DUs, 802) that transmit and receive radio signals, and a central unit (CU, 801) that controls the plurality of DUs (802). The CU (801) duplicates a downlink packet addressed to a communication terminal device (804), and forwards the duplicated downlink packet to each of at least two DUs (802) among the plurality of DUs (802). Each of the at least two of the DUs (802) transmits, to the communication terminal device (804) by the radio signal, the downlink packet obtained from the CU (801). Upon redundant receipt of the downlink packets, the communication terminal device (804) removes a redundant downlink packet in accordance with a predefined downlink packet removal criterion.

METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR LOCATION REPORTING

Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for location reporting. A mobility management node determines to establish a connection between the mobility management node and a terminal device for which location reporting is required. The mobility management node sends, to a base station, a request for establishing the connection. The request is configured to request the base station to report location information of the terminal device.
