Techniques related to methods, non-transitory computer readable mediums and computing devices configured to share content received from a satellite in an ad-hoc network are generally described. One example method may include configuring a first moving node in the ad-hoc network to receive a first version of the content from a second moving node in the ad-hoc network and to receive a second version of the content from a third moving node in the ad-hoc network. The example method may further include processing the first version of the content and the second version of the content at the first moving node according to the characteristics of the first version of the content and the second version of the content, respectively. The example method may also include transmitting a processed version of the content based on the processed first version of the content and the processed second version of the content to the second moving node and the third moving node.

SMOOTH HANDOVER OF ACTIVE USER TRAFFIC IN MOBILE RADIO BASE STATIONS
20170303168 · 2017-10-19 ·

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus for handover of communications between a plurality of radio user equipment and an egressing mobile base station to an ingressing mobile base station. The user equipment are terrestrially located within a geographical service zone (GSZ) having an ingress zone and an egress zone. When an egressing mobile base station enters an egress zone, it initiates a handover to a management node associated with the GSZ. The management node communicates with the ingressing mobile base station, which has entered the ingress zone, to accept the handover of the connections from the egressing base station. The handover is carried out without any disruption of user equipment communications. The management node can also communicate with a flight control node to control one or more flight parameters of the ingressing or egressing base station to facilitate smooth handover.

Method for managing connection of UE for transmitting and receiving V2X message in wireless communication system, and apparatus therefor
11259359 · 2022-02-22 · ·

A method is disclosed for managing a connection of an UE for transmitting and receiving a V2X message of a first network node in a wireless communication system, the connection management method including the steps of: allowing a first network node to determine that an UE for performing only a PC5 operation will be maintained in the ECM CONNECTED state; and allowing the first network node to transmit information requesting the release of a part of a packet data network (PDN) connection, to a second network node, after the determination.

SYSTEM FOR SUPPORTING EMERGENCY VEHICLE USING DRONE
20170301234 · 2017-10-19 ·

Disclosed are an emergency vehicle supporting device and system using a drone that resolve forward traffic congestion on a road on which an emergency vehicle is driving via the drone and supports securing of a driving path for the emergency vehicle. According to the present invention, an emergency vehicle supporting device mounted on the emergency vehicle generates drone control information and transmits the generated drone control information to the drone. Further, the drone flies according to the drone control information and a location change of the emergency vehicle and broadcasts an avoidance warning to surrounding vehicles around the flying drone, so that the surrounding vehicles may help the emergency vehicle secure a driving path and thus the emergency vehicle may arrive at a destination within a desired time.

PROVIDING WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS USING AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES
20170302362 · 2017-10-19 ·

Autonomous vehicles such as UAVs or cars provide network access points. User devices connect to the network access points and network access is monitored. User location data is also monitored. A profile of the user is generated from the gathered data. Advertisements are selected based on a profile of the user and the current location of the user. The autonomous vehicles may be distributed geographically to provide a network access to a geographic area. In response to detecting that a user device is moving out of a coverage area of an autonomous vehicle, nearby autonomous vehicles are identified. If the user device is in the coverage area of a nearby autonomous vehicle, the network connection to the user device is transferred to that vehicle.

METHOD OF HANDOVER, METHOD OF MANAGING A MOBILE DEVICE AND THE MOBILITY MANAGEMENT ENTITY THEREOF, AND MOBILE BASE STATION AND ITS MANAGEMENT METHOD THEREOF

A method of handover is provided. It includes: performing a mobile base station tracking area update procedure; performing a mobile device tracking area update procedure; transmitting a mobile base station identity of the mobile base station to a mobile device mobility management entity corresponding to the mobile device by a fixed base station; transmitting a request for setting the mobile base station ID to the mobile device by the MD mobility management entity; writing the mobile device ID into a mobile network ID list of the mobile device by the mobile device; when the mobile device receives from the fixed base station a handover message indicating the mobile device to hand over to the mobile base station and the mobile device determines the mobile network ID list includes the mobile base station ID of the mobile base station, then, the mobile device hands over to the mobile base station.

In-vehicle monitoring system and in-vehicle monitoring method
09794524 · 2017-10-17 · ·

An in-vehicle monitoring system including monitoring cameras and emergency call devices, a display unit, and an information control device, and monitoring inside of a vehicle by using images taken by the monitoring cameras, wherein a table, in which IP addresses of the emergency call devices and IP addresses of the monitoring cameras are stored in association with each other in a one-to-one relationship or a one-to-many relationship, is set in the information control device, and upon receiving a call signal from an operated emergency call device, the information control device specifies an IP address of a monitoring camera corresponding to the operated emergency call device from the IP addresses of the monitoring cameras based on the table, selects imaging data from the specified monitoring camera from pieces of imaging data from the monitoring cameras, and transmits it to the display unit.

Convoy travel control apparatus

A convoy travel control apparatus includes: a communication portion; a travel control portion; and a joining control portion, wherein when an own vehicle is travelling in convoy while being incorporated in a group of convoy vehicles travelling in convoy, if the communication portion has received, from an independent vehicle not incorporated in the group of convoy vehicles travelling in convoy, request information to incorporate the independent vehicle into the group of convoy vehicles, then the joining control portion determines a positional relationship between a position of the group of convoy vehicles and a position of the independent vehicle, and wherein if the independent vehicle is travelling along a side of the group of convoy vehicles, then in order to incorporate the independent vehicle into the group of convoy vehicles, the joining control portion exercises control on the group of convoy vehicles via the communication portion.

Configuring the zone served by a base station providing wireless communication

Methods and apparatuses for configuring the zone served by a base station providing wireless communication for a plurality of user equipment located in moving vehicles are disclosed. Motion reports are received from the user equipment, indicating a current location, a current direction of motion, and a current speed of the moving vehicles. The motion reports are received from at least one of: user equipment currently using the base station for wireless communication; user equipment currently within the zone served by the base station, but not using the base station for wireless communication; and/or user equipment currently using at least one neighbouring base station to the base station for wireless communication. A configuration for the zone served by the base station is then determined, based on the motion reports and on locations of the base station and of the at least one neighbouring base station. The configuration for the zone served by the base station is then applied to the base station.
