A server receives a call request for a mission critical, push to talk (MCPTT) call. In response to receiving the call request, the server accesses a mapping of an MCPTT identifier of a user equipment with an interworking identifier that is formed according to an address format implemented in Global System for Mobile communications (GSM) for Railways (GSM-R). The server then forwards the call request from the server based on the mapping. In some cases, the MCPTT identifier is a uniform resource identifier (URI) and the interworking identifier is represented in an e164 format.

COMMUNICATIONS DEVICE, INFRASTRUCTURE EQUIPMENT, CORE NETWORK EQUIPMENT AND METHODS

A method for a communications device in a coverage region of a first cell generated by a non-terrestrial network part of a wireless communications network, the first cell being a serving cell for the communications device, the method comprising determining whether the coverage area of the first cell overlaps with a region associated with a coverage area of at least one non-serving cell, and in response to determining that the coverage area of the serving cell overlaps with a region associated with a coverage area of at least one non-serving cell, initiating measurements of signals transmitted on a frequency which is used for transmissions by infrastructure equipment associated with the at least one non-serving cell.

A system and method are disclosed for authenticating and authorizing access to and accounting for consumption of bandwidth for IPv6 connectivity to the Internet over Wireless Access Vehicular Environment (WAVE) service channels by client devices using an Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) server. The AAA server authenticates and authorizes client devices to access WAVE service channels, and accounts for bandwidth consumption by the client devices using WAVE service channels to access the Internet. The AAA server enables an RSU infrastructure operator to quantify wireless bandwidth consumption by in-vehicle devices using the WAVE Service Channels, on a per-device basis.

Remote Profile Manager For A Vehicle

A system and method for utilizing data and computational information from on-vehicle and off-vehicle sources. The system comprises an assigning authority engine, a remote profile manager toolset, a plurality of databases, a plurality of cloud sources, a vehicle and a CVD within the vehicle. The dynamic, temporal combinations access data from the plurality of cloud sources comprising third party data and vehicle, timing, event, and/or positioning (“VTEP”) data to inform a plurality of instruction sets delivered by the assigning authority. One or more elements of the VTEP data is used as the basis to synchronize timing between the data, or computational outputs of two or more sources of electronic information. A single coherent information picture is generated from fusing data and computational information from the on-vehicle sources and the off-vehicle sources.

METHOD FOR BEAM SEARCH AND MANAGEMENT OF MOVING BACKHAUL SYSTEM, AND MOVING BACKHAUL HUB USING THE SAME

A beam management method performed by a moving backhaul hub may comprise: calculating, based on location information at a first time, a first separation distance between the moving backhaul hub and a moving backhaul terminal, a first azimuth angle to which a beam of the moving backhaul hub is directed, and a first elevation angle in which the beam of the moving backhaul hub is directed; determining an operation mode of the moving backhaul terminal using the first separation distance, the first azimuth angle, and/or the first elevation angle; determining whether to transmit a beam search command message to the moving backhaul terminal based on the operation mode of the moving backhaul terminal; and transmitting signals to the moving backhaul terminal in consideration of the operation mode when the beam search command message is transmitted to the moving backhaul terminal.

Methods and system for providing high-speed communication on high-speed railway

The present invention relates to the field of communications, and more particularly to methods and a system for providing high-speed communications on a high-speed railway. The technical result is a better quality communication channel provided by train-to-ground radio relay links The claimed system for providing high-speed communications on a high-speed railway comprises an internal and an external data exchange network. The internal network unites tail-end radio frequency modules mounted in the rear part of a train and equipped with narrow-band antennae, head-end radio frequency modules mounted in the front part of the train and equipped with narrow-band antennae, and switching equipment capable of processing signals from said modules and of providing network devices connected to said equipment with access to the external data exchange network. The external data exchange network unites base stations equipped with narrow-band antennae, said base stations being capable of establishing communication with the tail-end and head-end radio frequency modules in the train and being arranged in proximity to the railway clearance along the path of travel of the train. The antennae of the base stations and of the radio frequency modules in the train are configured to radiate radio waves in a short millimeter wave band.

Provision of radio coverage in a wireless communication network for serving wireless communication devices

First node(s) obtains first information relating to current locations of the wireless communication devices that are currently served by a first set of radio network nodes of the wireless communication network, located at first locations, respectively. The first node(s) determines, based on the obtained first information, different, second locations of a second set of radio network nodes for continued serving of the wireless communication devices instead of by the first set at the first locations. The first node(s) initiates activation of the second set of radio network nodes at the second locations, to thereby provide radio coverage for the continued serving.
