Systems and methods for radio unit backup connections
When a failed connection is detected from a first radio unit (RU) to the cellular site router (CSR), activation of an existing backup cabled connection from the first RU to the CSR through a cabled connection between the first RU and a second RU of the cellular telecommunications tower may be performed. In one example, a first RU and second RU each have two physical network ports. The activation of the existing backup cabled connection from the first RU, via the second RU, to the CSR may include causing the first RU to enter from a normal operating mode into an Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) cascade operating mode to attempt to attain network connectivity for the first RU using the second physical network port of the first RU.

The radio module further includes a radio frequency (RF) module comprising a single RF chain configured to feed the incident signal to the plurality of antenna elements in the reflectarray antenna, as well as a control unit that is configured to control which of the two phase shifts is applied by each antenna element in the reflectarray antenna.

A method according to an embodiment of the disclosure is a control method in an edge enabler server (EES) of a mobile edge computing system, and may include subscribing to a user plane path change event at an edge application server (EAS); determining an application context relocation (ACR) based on receiving a user plane path management event notification from the mobile communication network in case of subscribing to the user plane path change event for the EAS; transmitting an ACR request message to the EAS; receiving an EAS response message from the EAS; and transmitting an application function (AF) acknowledgment message to a first node of the mobile communication network in response to receiving the EAS response message from the EAS.
