FLEXIBLE DATA AND/OR REFERENCE SIGNAL SCHEDULING IN ONE OR MORE UPLINK PILOT TIME SLOTS IN A WIRELESS NETWORK
20180083745 · 2018-03-22 ·

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for flexible scheduling of reference signals and data in an uplink pilot time slot (UpPTS) in a wireless network. A method of wireless communication by a base station (BS) is provided. The method generally includes scheduling a first one or more symbols of a UpPTS for one or more user equipments (UEs) to transmit data and a second one more symbols of the UpPTS for one or more UEs to transmit one or more sounding reference signals (SRSs). The BS receives the data in the first one or more symbols and the one or more SRSs in the second one or more symbols. Based on the scheduling received from the BS, the UE determines the symbols of the UpPTS for transmission of SRSs and data.

METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ACCESSING AND OBTAINING USER EQUIPMENT CONTEXT AND USER EQUIPMENT IDENTITY
20180077613 · 2018-03-15 · ·

A method and device for accessing and obtaining user equipment (UE) context and UE identity are provided. The method for access includes: when a UE accesses a System Architecture Evolution (SAE) network, judging, by a network node, whether a Globally Unique Mobility Management Entity Identifier (GUMMEI) carried by the UE or a Mobility Management Entity Group Identity (MMEGI) in the GUMMEI is allocated or mapped by the SAE network; if the GUMMEI or MMEGI is allocated by the SAE network, selecting, by the network node, a Mobility Management Entity (MME) according to the GUMMEIA network device includes an identity attribute obtaining module and a network resource node allocation module. Therefore, the access of the UE is achieved.

Providing communication over a plurality of networks
09913199 · 2018-03-06 · ·

One example aspect of the present disclosure relates to a method for providing communication over a plurality of networks. The method can include intercepting a message from a communication management unit located on a vehicle to a first transmitter located on the vehicle, wherein the communication management unit is configured to manage communications over the first network, and wherein the first transmitter is configured to communicate over the first network. The method can include initiating a communication session with the first transmitter and a second transmitter located on the vehicle, wherein the second transmitter is configured to communicate over a second network. The method can include routing the message among the first transmitter and the second transmitter, wherein the communication management unit is unaware of the second transmitter.

MME OVERLOAD OR UNDERLOAD MITIGATION BY MME VNF APPARATUS AND METHOD

Embodiments of the present disclosure describe apparatuses and methods for mobility management entity (MME) overload or underload mitigation using an MME virtual network function (VNF). Various embodiments may include one or more processors to execute instructions to process a notification from a virtual network function manager (VNFM) to determine instantiation of a MME as a VNF, add the MME to an MME pool, and assign a value to an application parameter of the MME VNF. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

Methods for sending and receiving user subscription data, HSS, and SGSN
09906941 · 2018-02-27 · ·

The embodiments of the present application provide a method for sending user subscription data, a method for receiving user subscription data, an HSS, and an SGSN. After receiving a request from an SGSN, the HSS determines whether the user subscription data includes CAMEL service data. If the user subscription data includes the CAMEL service data, the HSS sends the user subscription data to the SGSN by using a Gr interface, or sends non-CAMEL service data in the user subscription data by using the S6d interface and sends the CAMEL service data in the user subscription data by using a Gr interface to the SGSN.

HIGH ALTITUDE POINT TO MULTIPOINT LINKS
20180054251 · 2018-02-22 ·

Systems and methods for communicating in a point to multipoint (PTMP) network that includes an aerial station and a plurality of ground stations. The method includes the aerial station receiving positional information of a ground station of the plurality of the ground stations, selecting antenna elements on a phased antenna array for generating a directional beam based on the positional information, sweeping the directional beam to cover the plurality of ground stations, determining that the directional beam has a beam width sufficient to cover the plurality of ground stations and a transmit power sufficient to provide signals to the ground stations based on the sweeping of the directional beam; and establishing a radio link between the aerial station and the ground station in the plurality of ground stations.

ACCESS CONTROL METHOD, BASE STATION, USER EQUIPMENT, AND MOBILITY MANAGEMENT ENTITY

The present invention provides an access control method, a base station, user equipment, and a mobility management entity, where the access control method includes: receiving, by the base station, a temporary identifier and a PLMN available indication that are of the UE and sent by the UE; receiving a service request message sent by the UE, and determining a serving MME of the UE according to a GMMEI in the temporary identifier of the UE; and sending the service request message and the PLMN available indication to the serving MME of the UE, so that the serving MME of the UE sends a redirection indication, and the UE registers with an HPLMN of the UE. Therefore, in a network sharing scenario, the UE can select the home PLMN of the UE as a serving PLMN of the UE as early as possible.

A content projection solution includes a first device paired with an IVI system, a second device, instances of an application running on these devices, and a corresponding application server. The first device registers an application on an IVI. The application notifies the server of the registration. The IVI may broadcast IDs of registered applications over BLE. An application on the second device searches for a target to present/control application content on the IVI via the first device, either through linking of application users logged into its server from first and second devices or by detecting presence of its ID in a BLE broadcast. In response to selection of a target, the IVI requests authorization. If authorized, control inputs received on the second device are transmitted to application server, which processes them and provides content or instructions to the first device, which invokes presentation or execution thereof by the IVI.
