In order to make it possible to report an amount of data from a secondary node (SN) to a master node (MN) in dual connectivity, there is provided a first unit according to the present disclosure which is a first unit of a central unit of a first base station. The first unit includes a controller and a transceiver. The central unit is configured to host at least PDCP layer in the first base station; and is connected to a distributed unit via a first interface, the distributed unit hosting RLC, MAC and PHY layers in the first base station. The controller is configured to host at least a user plane of the PDCP layer hosted by the central unit; and the transceiver is configured to transmit, to a second unit via a second interface, first information indicative of a volume of data processed by the first unit. The second unit is configured to host at least a control plane of the PDCP layer hosted by the central unit.

The terminal device receives an identifier of a first cluster-data function (C-DF) associated with the serving RAN device from the serving RAN device, where the first C-DF is located in a radio access network and stores current data of the terminal device. When the terminal device camps on the serving RAN device longer than or equal to a first threshold, the terminal device stores the identifier of the first C-DF.

The forwarding layer of the cell site gateway removes the first label from the one or more first packets. The forwarding layer of the cell site gateway attaches the second label to the one or more second packets. The forwarding layer of the cell site gateway transmits the one or more second packets to the network gateway.

Embodiments of the present application relate to the technical field of wireless communications, and in particular, to a method, a device and a system for transmitting a data packet, which are used to resolve the problem existing in the prior art that an LTE network structure causes a signaling burden on a backhaul between a radio access network and a core network and causes a transmission delay on the backhaul. In the embodiments of the present application, a control point sends a data packet that is from at least one base station to an access network gateway or a core network gateway; and a data packet that is from the access network gateway or the core network gateway is sent to the at least one base station, the control point being a connection control point of a terminal and a mobility control point of the terminal. In the embodiments of the present invention, a control plane signaling process of a core network of a new network architecture is greatly simplified; therefore, the control delay and traffic pressure on a Backhaul between an access network and a core network are reduced. Under the control of a control point, a transmission mode is flexibly selected at an access network side, so that requirements of different services on aspects of the delay and reliability can be met.

Management and setup of enhanced MAC-E/ES resources in cell-FACH state

A method and apparatus are disclosed to manage the enhanced medium access control-e (MAC-e) and enhanced MAC-es resources and respective variables for the enhanced dedicated channel (E-DCH) in the enhanced Cell_FACH state.
