A method for managing wireless device communications including establishing active, persistent, and repetitive communications with a wireless device operating in a coverage area of a local wireless network. In an example, the local wireless network is an overlay to a portion of a macro wireless network. The repetitive communications include placing a call to the wireless device, completing a call connection to the wireless device, sending a message to the wireless device, receiving and processing a response to the message from the wireless device, and persistently repeating a call function of the placing a call, completing a connection, sending a response, and receiving and processing the response until a specified termination event. In an example, the termination event is a power off of the wireless device.

Wireless client device detection and steering on a network with multiple access points
A method for automatic steering of client devices accessing a network to a different access point on the network is provided. A network controller of the network device automatically identities a pre-determined type of electronic client device gaining access to the network and automatically designates the client device as non-steerable when identified as the predetermined type of electronic client device. Thus, when the network controller selects a client device for being steered to a different access point of the network during a steering event, client devices designated as non-steerable by the network controller are prevented from being steered and only client devices that are not designated as non-steerable are available as candidates to be steered. A network device is also provided.
Interface establishing method and apparatus
A method includes sending, by a serving node, instruction information to an anchor node, where the instruction information is used to instruct to establish a first interface between the serving node and the anchor node; and receiving, by the serving node, response information from the anchor node in response to the first instruction information, wherein the radio resource control message carried in a signaling radio bearer 1 (SRB1) of the terminal is served by the anchor node, and the radio resource control message carried in a signaling radio bearer 0 (SRB0) of the terminal is served by the serving node.
Cell site gateway
A cell site gateway comprises a first interface, a second interface, and a third interface. The first interface is configured to communicate with a cellular base station. The second interface is configured to communicate with a network gateway. The third interface is configured to receive, from a control server, control information for a forwarding layer and comprising a first label and a second label. The forwarding layer is configured to: remove the first label from first packets received from the network gateway via the second interface; attach the second label to second packets received from the cellular base station; and transmit the second packets to the network gateway via the second interface.
COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
This application provides a communication method and an apparatus. UE establishes a connection to a home access gateway by using CPE, the home access gateway sends configuration information of a first link and configuration information of a second link to the CPE, and sends the configuration information of the second link to the UE. The first link is a link between the CPE and the home access gateway, the second link is a link between the CPE and the UE, the configuration information of the first link is used to indicate quality of service QoS information of the first link, and the configuration information of the second link is used to indicate QoS information of the second link. The UE and the CPE ensure, based on respective configuration information, QoS of UE service data transmitted on the first link and the second link.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR IMPLEMENTING NETWORK EXPERIENCE SHIFTING
Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing network experience shifting, and, in particular embodiments, using either a roaming or portable hypervisor associated with a user or a local hypervisor unassociated with the user. In some embodiments, a network node in a first network might receive, via a first network access device in a second network, a request from a user device to establish roaming network access, and might authenticate a user associated with the user device, the user being unassociated with the first network access device. Based on a determination that the user is authorized to access data, content, profiles, and/or software applications that are accessible via a second network access device, the network node might establish a secure private connection through a hypervisor or container communicatively coupled to the first network access device to provide the user with access to her data, content, profiles, and/or software applications.
WIRELESS CLIENT DEVICE DETECTION AND STEERING ON A NETWORK WITH MULTIPLE ACCESS POINTS
A method for automatic steering of client devices accessing a network to a different access point on the network is provided. A network controller of the network device automatically identifies a pre-determined type of electronic client device gaining access to the network and automatically designates the client device as non-steerable when identified as the predetermined type of electronic client device. Method, apparatus and computer readable media for network optimization
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, apparatuses and computer program products for network optimization in a wireless network. A method includes determining a plurality of communication performance metrics associated with a plurality of access points; determining, based on the plurality of communication performance metrics, a plurality of communication performance problems to be solved for the plurality of access points; determining, from a predetermined set of optimization strategies, an optimization strategy for an access point of the plurality of access points based on the plurality of communication performance problems; and causing the access point to apply the determined optimization strategy.
