INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD, COMMUNICATION APPARATUS, AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
An information processing method, a communication apparatus, and a communication system are provided. A core network control plane network element receives a tunnel establishment request from an application function entity, where the tunnel establishment request is used to request to establish a shared tunnel for transmitting data by a terminal device; the core network control plane network element determines a tunnel configuration policy corresponding to the tunnel establishment request; the core network control plane network element selects a session management network element based on the tunnel establishment request; and the core network control plane network element sends the tunnel configuration policy to the session management network element, where the tunnel configuration policy is used to indicate the session management network element to trigger establishment of the shared tunnel between an access network node and a user plane function network element.
Communication Method and Communication Apparatus
In a communication method when a preset quantity of terminal devices is allowed to simultaneously use a user identifier and a terminal device expects to use the user identifier, the terminal device sends a first message including the user identifier to a first network element. The first network element determines, based on information about the user identifier, whether the first terminal device is allowed to use the user identifier.
User Plane Security Enforcement Information Determining Method, Apparatus, and System
A user plane security enforcement information determining method and an apparatus are provided, to ensure a security requirement of transmitted data of a remote device. In this application, a session management network element may receive a first request for creating a relay-type session of a first terminal device. Then, the session management network element determines first user plane security enforcement information of the session based on first information, and sends the first user plane security enforcement information of the session to an access network device, where the first user plane security enforcement information of the session is for determining a first user plane security activation status of the session between the first terminal device and the access network device.
DNN Manipulation Using Selection Priority
A method implemented by a Policy Control Function (PCF) of a Core Network (CN) node in a communications network includes receiving a request message from an Access and Mobility management Function (AMF). The request message includes a requested Data Network Name (DNN) designated by a wireless terminal in a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session establishment request to the AMF. Responsive to the request message and to session-specific information, a selected DNN and a Session Management Function (SMF) index is determined. Each of one or more SMFs are registered with a Network Repository Function (NRF) of the CN node or a different CN node according to a corresponding SMF profile. The selected DNN and the SMF index are sent to the AMF to facilitate selection of one of the one or more SMFs via the NRF for establishment of the PDU session between the wireless terminal and the selected SMF.
MULTIFREQUENCY OPERATION FOR INTEGRATED ACCESS AND BACKHAUL
The technology is generally directed towards configuring, coordinating, and operating across multiple frequency carriers or bands on one or more access and backhaul links. An integrated access and backhaul (e.g., child) node, for example, determines first multiplexing capability data representative of a first multiplexing capability for a first frequency resource, and determines second multiplexing capability data representative of a second multiplexing capability for a second frequency resource. The first and second multiplexing capability data for the first and second resources are communicated to a second (e.g., parent) integrated access and backhaul node. Quality of service can be applied across multiple frequency carriers utilized by the integrated access and backhaul node for access and backhaul links. Also described is supporting multifrequency operation outside of the radio access network for non-new radio-based traffic backhauling.

PROVIDING RADIO RESOURCE OWNERSHIP INDICATORS FOR USER EQUIPMENT CHARGING RECORDS IN A MOBILE NETWORK ENVIRONMENT
Techniques are described herein for providing radio resource ownership indicators in charging records for a charging function. In one example, a method may include determining, by a session management node of a mobile network, that a user equipment is utilizing a particular radio resource of a mobile network resource for a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session of the user equipment, wherein the mobile network resource is capable of being utilized via a plurality of radio resources and the particular radio resources is associated with an enterprise entity; and reporting charging information for the PDU session of the user equipment to a charging function of the mobile network to facilitate storing a charging record for the user equipment that is to include an identifier of the enterprise entity that is associated with the particular radio resource.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR MANAGEMENT AND ACCESS CONTROL OF NETWORK SLICE IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
Disclosed are a method and a device for controlling access in a wireless communication system and, particularly, to a method and a device for management and access control of a network (NW) slice in a wireless communication system. According to one embodiment of the disclosure, a method by which a first NW function (NF #1) device of a wireless communication system manages an NW slice comprises the steps of: receiving an NW slice selection assist information (NSSAI) availability update message from at least one second network function (NF #2) device included in a NW slice; storing information included in the NSSAI availability update message; transmitting, to the NF #2, a response message to the NSSAI availability update message; and transmitting, to the NF #2, a message that requests changed information when a state or a configuration is changed to the NF #2, wherein the NSSAI availability update message can include the capacity parameters of the NW slice.
User-plane apparatus for edge computing
There is disclosed in one example a radio access network (RAN) user plane processing entity (UPPE) for a mobile data network, including: a hardware platform; a virtual switch to operate on the hardware platform; a network interface to communicatively couple to a local server; and a software defined networking controller, including a radio access network (RAN) control plane (CP) sniffer, and configured to: receive a control plane traffic offloading rule via a northbound interface, the traffic offloading rule configured to offload a class of traffic to the local server; operate the RAN CP sniffer to build a user-plane flow control message according to the offloading rule; and send the flow control message to the virtual switch.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRACKING AREA TOPOLOGY
Techniques for determining a registration area are provided. A network entity may receive one or more indications of topology information from one or more radio access network nodes. Each indication of topology information is related to one or more tracking areas and each tracking area is associated with one or more cells in a radio access network served by each of the one or more radio access network nodes. The network entity may determine a registration area based at least in part on the received one or more indications of topology information related to the one or more tracking areas.
