Cross-resource subscription for M2M service layer

A subscriber issues a message to a resource host to request subscription to multiple resources. This message may indicate identifiers of these resources, event notification criteria for each individual resource and define cross-resource notification criteria such as time window type and time window size. The resource host issues cross-resource notifications to the subscriber or its designated notification targets when expected changes on the target resources occur within a time window.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DATA EXCHANGE BETWEEN GATEWAYS

The solution includes: establishing, by a first gateway, a network connection to a second gateway, where the first gateway is configured to manage a human body device of a first user, and the second gateway is configured to manage a human body device of a second user; obtaining, by the first gateway, collaboration information of the second gateway by using the network connection, where the collaboration information includes cellular network performance information; and if the cellular network performance information meets a preset performance condition, using, by the first gateway, the second gateway as an anchor for accessing the Internet, so as to connect the human body device of the first user to the Internet.

Gateway system with multiple modes of operation in a fleet management system

A method and a gateway system of a mobile asset are described. A voltage produced by a power system of the mobile asset is monitored by a gateway system. In response to determining that a first fluctuation occurs in the voltage produced by the power system of the mobile asset over a first interval of time, the gateway system operates in a first mode. In response to determining that a value of the voltage produced by the power system of the mobile asset is less than a voltage threshold, the gateway system automatically transitions to operating in a second mode, which is different from the first mode and causes the gateway system to consume less power than when it is operating in the first mode.

SELECTION OF A SUBSCRIPTION AT A DEVICE
20180013897 · 2018-01-11 ·

A communication device may be configured to access a plurality of subscriptions for a plurality of providers. For example, a communication device may be configured with at least one subscriber identity module (SIM). For a communication device having a plurality of subscriptions accessible thereto, the selection of a subscription to connect to a destination network may be configurable. The selection of a subscription from a plurality of available subscriptions may be based on a cost (e.g., financial cost, data cost, or another resource) associated with connecting to a destination network using different subscriptions. For example, a first subscription may be selected if connection to the destination network is more expensive using a second subscription and/or if the balance on the second subscription is too low.

Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are presented herein for providing lower level physical-layer gateway functionalities and upper-level application functionalities; a system designed with flexible configurations in order to support a wide range of connected applications. The system can include a processor that executes machine instructions to perform operations. The operations can comprise: receiving, from a first device, a first packet representing first data formatted in a first protocol language; transforming the first data to second data formatted in a second protocol language; and transmitting a second packet representing the second data to a second device.

Network routing and security within a mobile radio network

In an example embodiment, A PICNEEC is provided. It includes one or more Virtual Customized Rules Enforcer (VCRE) instances, each VCRE instance corresponding to a group of mobile devices and defining a set of policies personalized for the group of mobile devices. Each VCRE is configured to, upon receiving a data packet communicated between a packet-based network and a mobile device in the corresponding group via a radio network, execute one or more policy rules stored in the VCRE instance to the data packet prior to forwarding the data packet. Each VCRE instance is controlled independently of one another via direct accessing of the VCRE instance by a different customer of the mobile network provider.

Adaptive route, bi-directional network communication
11711745 · 2023-07-25 · ·

In an adaptive route wireless network and bi-directional protocol, each computing device along a route to a gateway appends the previous node's network address to downstream messages as they are transmitted along the route from an originating computing device to the gateway. The list of appended network addresses thus records the route taken by the downstream network message through the adaptive route network. A server computing device maintains a route table including the list of appended network addresses received with each downstream message. To send unsolicited upstream messages to any computing device on the wireless network, the server generates an upstream network message that includes the appended network address(es) from the portion of the route table corresponding to the destination computing device. The upstream route to the destination computing device is thus contained in the list of appended network addresses within the network message.

RADIO ACCESS NETWORK HANDOVER METHOD, BASE STATION, AND COMMUNICATION METHOD OF THE BASE STATION

A radio access network handover method of a base station in a 5G radio access network (5G-RAN) is are disclosed. The method comprising: determining handing over a user equipment (UE) to an Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (E-UTRAN); transmitting a handover requirement message to an Access and Mobility Management Function (AMF); receiving a handover command message from the AMF and transmitting the handover command message to the UE, the handover message such that the UE is handed over from the 5G-RAN to the E-UTRAN; and performing indirect data forwarding to a base station in the E-UTRAN.

AUTOMATICALLY SWITCHING COMMUNICATION PATHWAYS BETWEEN CONNECTED DEVICES

Systems and methods for switching communication pathways between a mobile device and connected “Internet of Things” (IOT) device are described to improve scalability and communication between devices. An application on the mobile device may determine whether local or virtual local endpoints are available to route communications without using a remote IoT server endpoint. Communications and updates from multiple co-located, but not necessarily user-related connected devices may be aggregated, and sent to a remote IoT server to reduce the peak load scalability requirement of the server.
