HEATER SHELL OF HEATER ASSEMBLY FOR AN AEROSOL-GENERATING DEVICE
The present invention relates to a heater assembly for an aerosol-generating device. The device comprises a heater shell, a support element and at least one heating element. The heater shell is configured to receive the heating element. The heater shell has an inner wall. The inner wall comprises a plurality of thermally insulating cavities. The heating element is arranged lining the inner wall of the heater shell. The heater shell is arranged within the support element.
Gas turbine engine with active clearance control
A small gas turbine engine, such as is used to power a UAV, that includes at least one centrifugal compressor having an impeller with blades that form a gap between the blade tips and stationary shroud of the gas turbine engine, and where a resistance heating element is secured to or bonded to a compressor casing of the gas turbine engine in order to use heat to control the gap between the impeller blades and the stationary shroud. The resistance heating element is activated at cruise mode to move the shroud toward the impeller. Additionally or alternatively, the compressor casing is heated with bled-off compressed air to move the shroud toward the impeller. A capacitance tip clearance sensor can be mounted on the impeller shroud to monitor and control tip clearance in real time.
POWER CONTROL SYSTEM
A power control system includes: a power generation device; and a storage battery that receives and stores power from a commercial power system or the power generation device. When power supply from the commercial power system is stopped, constant power is output from the power generation device, and the power is supplied to a first load, and surplus power thereof is supplied to the storage battery, and when a power storage rate of the storage battery is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, the surplus power is supplied to and consumed by a second load.

A heating device includes a heating unit that heats a member to be heated, which is transported, as a result of a contact portion of the heating unit being in contact with the member to be heated, a heat pipe that contacts with a portion of the heating unit different from the contact portion in such a manner as to extend in a widthwise direction crossing a transport direction of the member to be heated and that includes a crimped portion formed at a first end of the heat pipe, and a power-supply connection unit that is disposed on a second end side of the heat pipe and that is connected to a wiring line through which power is supplied to the heating unit.
ASPARAGUS SEVERING ASSEMBLY WITH HEATED VALVE UNIT, ASPARAGUS LIFTING APPARATUS WITH ASPARAGUS SPEAR GUIDES AND INTERFERING MEMBER, AND ASPARAGUS HARVESTER FORMED THEREWITH
An asparagus harvester includes a chassis movable over a bed of growing asparagus. Spears above a selected height are severed at the ground by a severing assembly. A conveyor receives from a pick-up apparatus and conveys away asparagus spears severed by the severing assembly. The severing assembly includes a severing blade carried by a plunger mounted in a pneumatic cylinder. Conduits couple the pneumatic cylinder to a source of air under pressure through a valve unit operable for actuating the pneumatic cylinder to repeatedly fire and withdraw the plunger for repeatedly moving the severing blade back-and-forth along a stroke path between a raised set position and a lowered severing position proximate to the ground. A heater mounted proximate to the valve unit is configured to sufficiently heat the valve unit to enable the valve unit to operate in the presence of an ambient temperature sufficiently low to impair its operation.
Aerosol inhaler and control device of aerosol inhaler
A control device of an aerosol inhaler including a load heating an aerosol generation source, in which a temperature and an electric resistance value of the load are correlated. The control device includes: a voltage sensor configured to output a voltage value applied to the load; a known resistor which is connected in series to the load; and a control circuit configured to acquire the temperature of the load based on output of the voltage sensor. The control circuit is configured such that a resolution of the temperature of the load acquired based on the output of the voltage sensor is 10 [° C.] or less.

An electric heating device includes a control portion adapted to control electric energy supplied to a heater, based on a before-heating temperature, which is a temperature of at least one of an object, the heater and a heat dissipation portion before the heater generates heat, the control portion is adapted to calculate the temperature of the object, based on the before-heating temperature and the electric energy supplied to the heater.
Laser welding method for joining a solid and porous metal component
In a method of laser welding, a solid metal component is placed in contact with a porous metal component at an interface region, a laser beam is directed onto the solid metal component to cause heating and melting of one or more portions of the solid metal component in the interface region, and the melted metal portions flow into interstices in the porous metal component and then solidify by cooling such that portions of the porous metal component adjacent the interstices are integrated into the metal of the solid metal component thereby bonding the solid metal component and the porous metal component.
Electric Heating Device
An electric heating device includes an electric control device with a control housing that is in structural unity with a housing of a power section. The power section has a frame forming a heating chamber. At least one PTC heating device with at least one PTC element and conductor elements is provided in the heating chamber. The control housing forms a chamber which is separated from the frame by a partition wall. A heat sink projects from the partition wall into the power section. The electric control device has a printed circuit board and at least one power switch which generates a power loss and which is connected in a heat-conducting manner to a surface of a heat sink. An electrically insulating layer and a spring element, which holds the power switch applied under pretension against the surface of the heat sink, are provided between the power switch and the heat sink.
Heating cooker and heating cooking method
A heating cooker to manage surface and inside temperatures of food. A heating portion heats inside of a heating space where the food material is placed. At least one processor controls the heating portion to perform driving for high-temperature heating after performing driving for low-temperature heating. During the driving for low-temperature heating, the heating portion may heat the inside of the heating space such that an average increase velocity of a reference temperature of the food material is lower than an average increase velocity of the reference temperature of the food material during the driving for high-temperature heating. During the driving for high-temperature heating, the heating portion may heat the inside of the heating space such that an average increase velocity of the reference temperature of the food material is higher than the average increase velocity of the reference temperature of the food material during the driving for low-temperature heating.
